Idk about y’all but I don’t remember Tess even existing before this questline.
I was already sick to my stomach when her and Lilian were being all emotionally intelligent and mature when going through that tunnel, and I knew from the shore Genn was gonna be robbed of his position because he’s a stubborn old man who’s not ready for the ongoing therapy session that is Dragonflight.
This game will never stop being cringe as long as these writers are employed.
it was weird questline happening on a few spots on gilneas even tho gilneas is big
And the quests where you kill 10 or 12 or pick 6 and this and that
so cringe I don’t evne know what the hell was that
But i expected to have some kind of scenario where you try to conquer the land and then climax was the city with some bigger foe not this weird light elemental…
I mentioned it already but she is since legion a quest giver and companion. Voss is forever there and we literally witness her character grow. She wasn’t always that cool headed. With time and experience she changed. Tess was always cautious and thinking ahead. Normal for a rogue type leaning towards background work and espionage. Only because you didn’t give a damn does not mean it wasnt there to begin with
You know Tess only if you had a rogue in Legion. Lili is there since there are forsakens, which is a big difference. I had a rogue, I did the order hall and got mount but even I forgot who the hell she was, until I read it up. So, similar to Xal’atath, Tess is a very class dependant character, who won’t get the same “insert more lore to let everyone know she was there all along” treatment.
After there, she was mainly described in novels (same with Greymane)
She reappears more prominently in Legion for Rogues (same as Calia appears for priests)
She is part of Darkshore assault in BFA
I don’t mind her not being there all the time, plenty of characters have that, she isn’t one of the “main” characters of Warcraft. Turalyon was cool but most people didn’t really know him before Legion, unless you played the old Warcraft games or read the novels.
I must admit I’d of liked the quest to be a bit longer, we have random quest chains that are longer than this advertised feature of the patch.
I feel the same way about the quest chain for Bel’ameth, 3 videos is the entire quest chain? The videos were good, but hardly something amazing to do in the new town.
The excavating event seems reasonably long and thought out.
That’s a meaningless background character then, rogue questline aside, who doesn’t deserve to be a queen of Gilneas and Genn doesn’t deserve to lose his title.
They are handing out titles and leadership position like flightstones and it’s always a downgrade.
This is what happened in Naruto as well with the new series, it’s a way to pave the way for the new generation and that is what’s happening now. I’m surprised Thrall is still a leader of some sort and they haven’t brought Baine to be the lead instead of him and speak for the Earth Mother…
Monarchy. Only child. Liam died. Tess alive. Doesn’t matter if she deserves it. She is the heir. Genn is old and wants to focus on defending Azeroth. Gilneas can be ruled by his legitimate heir. One less worry
1: The Horde should have not been part of the reclaiming of Gilneas. I feel that there could have been a prequest so to speak, where we drove back the Scarlets from trying to flow into Silverpine or something.
It just felt weird to be helping an enemy to reclaim their land… kinda lose the feeling of proper Horde vs Alliance and just a “hey just pick whatever side and you can play together, have some tea & cake!”
2: The whole reclaiming could have been done over a few days with timed events to show a steady push of reclaiming areas of Gilneas. But it was pretty much, load up, pick up quests, kills everything, kill boss, hand in quest, get mount and outfit.
Just felt rushed and no really effort/creativity put into the actual quest itself. I kind of feel sorry for the Worgen players who like their background story/city. More could have indeed been done to make it more epic in terms of story & scale.
3: The outfit… I honestly don’t want to say what I want too, as I’d end up being banned from the forums, but I feel next time you may want to hire some outsourcing companies to do your artwork for new armour because this one is just terrible.
Well it should matter given the disaster her father was. But lucky for the victorian furries, she’s actually a competent person. How she’ll do as a leader remains to be seen but she can’t be worse than her father.
Anyway, I see people saying Gilneas does not feel like a populated city. Maybe this isn’t the end of it. Maybe there’s more coming.
Would’ve benefitted from a having a bit longer storyline. The rendered cutscene was nice but given how you can nuke the enemies pretty fast with so many people around it was very speedy to do.
Some more rogueing around at the beginning and going more indepth on the scarlet crusade. And then go full WAAAAAAGH!
let the ghosts go… since forever the majority wanted to have peace and play whatever race they wanted and join dungeons/guild/raids with friends.
In a world already filled with strife, people want to escape in a game… not being reminded that even their fantasy world is a you know hole as the real one.
Yes, they should. Making amends + it will be their neighbours in the future (so good contact is always a plus) + forsaken gilneans may want their still living family to have their homeland back.
agreed
Seeing her roles through the manga, novels and quests, the furry know her qualities. But leading? Well, her father can still advice her. Her mother is still there too
I know right, at the very least they could have done something with shadowfangkeep like they did with uldaman. Open up a new route in the basement of it for example
