Hello gamers,

Historically on Argent Dawn there has been a big faction imbalance - with the Alliance taking a 70/30 cut of the total population. Even I (about 200 years ago) was an Alliance GNOME enthusiast - I guess it is just an easier faction to get into because it has typical fantasy tropes for many races. IMO this isn’t ideal - I’m sure we’ve all experienced the [sorry, sign-ups closed for Alliance until we have more Horde players] thing when looking at campaigns and it would be sweet if we could move towards the 50/50 mark

While Alliance is (probably) really cool and based, it would be even more cool and based if people looking for something new checked out the Horde - and now is a great time to do it. The Horde right now is in a very strong place in terms of roleplay - until recently the saying was that Horde was smaller / had few prominent hubs but was good at people moving around / using obscure zones for guild-based stuff; now with (for better or for worse) the decline of Eastern Kingdoms Horde RP because of the story’s development, Orgrimmar/Valley of Honour now holds its own in a big way as a hub with activity that I would boldly claim matches the Cathedral District (but without the cathedral sieges / associated stigma) while still maintaining the tradition of guilds going around the place instead of just lingering in town / having frequent festival-style events that don’t require any guild at all. In many ways you get to have your cake and eat it too - despite what the hundreds of “is the Horde dead?” thread might have you think, the Horde is on the up and up

The Horde offers loads of cool themes to explore - political struggles that aren’t based on nobles having civil wars (Sylvanas loyalists vs Saurfang fans), weird alien cultures, culture clashes between the much less homogeneous member-races and so on and there are loads of very cool guilds / communities to facilitate most of these niches

If you’re looking to try something new, I would absolutely recommend trying out this faction - you will (probably) not regret it and will whisper me in some months time saying “thank you so much Perroy, your great advice has once again improved my life” though if you want to whisper me much sooner for advice / info on Horde stuff I will be more than happy to help any gamers trying out the red side

I hope to one day make this exact thread but about the Alliance instead one day OK lets do it bros cya there :zombie::selfie: (please post about how cool the Horde is below, thanks)

Even if you’re just looking to dip your toes into what the Horde has to offer, I hear there is a gym opening up this weekend that allows one to experience first hand the really powerful RP that happens on red side…

Like Telaryn said, for those who want to dip their toes in Horde RP, now is a great time and coming up this weekend are two big ticket RP events for casual attendance.

It is the most natural progression. An inherent truth. Many of us started as men and women of the Alliance but with maturity comes wisdom and wisdom inevitably leads you to the Horde. Join us and transcend yourself.
