well for warsong, they can find a way to bypass the group rules if they tag together by choosing the number of the warsong without being in a party…
Well this is not TBC yet its Classic and its about grind and Blizzard removed the grind by catering to those “10 kids, 3 wifes and 2 jobs ppl” and giving a prepatch TBC AV.
Instead of giving original version of AV which was perfect but then no one with “10 kids, 3 wifes and 2 jobs” would get that 500k honor even with instant AV queue. Not to mention the original honor system before ppl made their own brackets.
If someone need skill based game —> retail exists. This one is for nostalgia and totally different kind of game. Not to cater for wannabes who got finger agility but never could manage back in 2005 to be the great pwnzor.
I am sad I cant get Psykoz our Empire PvP Champion from Vanilla Darksorrow TBC to play again would devour todays wannabes. U could not hit full affliction lock in duel so he dueled most classes naked for fun and skipped SL/SL since it was for naablets. Also got Gladiator each season. Was also a fun duel with server first 70 and High Warlord from Vanilla Darksorrow aka Flerp. Ze high warlord could not hit our “bullan” in duel. And “bullan” callname for Psykoz cause he is swedish and made kottbullar of all opponents xD Never seen anyone do dat stuff live on Gehennas or now. Only in some PvP movies xD
So let the grind game be grind game and if U got great skill play the retail 10 arenas it will take very short time for Gladiator each season. Or wait for TBC 10 arenas.
PS. We also miss our guildclown Montoroz from old Vanilla but cant find him anywhere lets hope he did not die. BTW Psykoz even played with him as healer and got the guildclown a gladiator too in 2vs2 xD
They made the ranking system easier for a reason.
Reducing all honor gains in AV is not a solution.
If anything buff the honor gain in the other ones.

To make it competitive with WSG, you’d have to pretty much remove all the honor and make it like 1k per hour. You get almost no honor at all from WSG, someone camps with the flag, and then whats left is HKs which are typically split by a factor of about 3-10 other people, worse than even world PVP and rapidly decaying.
Only if you can get near a 100% winrate you can acquire a pitiful amount of honor per hour typically for the cost of hundreds of golds in consumes.
WSG is just a broken battleground by any definition, even when Blizzard made a tournament for it, they had to put a timer and decide games by a kill score because there is no reason for the match to progress and it killed the whole capture the flag concept and made it literally team deathmatch.
