Refund heirlooms please

Hello,

Since Blizzard decided to make heirlooms useless, I would like a refund on all the gold I invested in them since they no longer fulfill they original function.

Please implement a way to refund them for 100% of the gold paid for them and their upgrades.

Thank you

Hello,

You had 10 years worth of use in heirlooms, more than enough to make your “investment” worth.

I’m still using them. No need to worry about upgrades. Worth it.

Seems the last boost in 8.2.5 cost over 550K to do no it hasnt been worth it

I still use all my looms. Throw some enchants on them and they’e basically BiS til 50.

You seem to be confused my good sir, I know BFA was not that good of an expansion but it has hardly been available for 10 years.

Cant see how as the bonus now are weak /rubbish and greens offer better stats .But i guess you do not have to replace them and not mog so often :woman_shrugging:

This is unfortunately false, they are barely on par with green items. The only good thing they offer is the convenience of having the gear level with you, but that is unfortunately not worth the amount of gold spent on upgrading them.

Wasn’t aware that we rented them

Right now ! Let me regurgitate    :face_vomiting: :face_vomiting: :face_vomiting: :face_vomiting:

I can see why people would want refunded. I spent a fortune paying for them, although they were worth it, I wouldn’t spend anything on them now.

They are stupidly expensive to just cap at 49…

Sure, but then please also remove all the bonus xp you got from it.
You can then just regularly earn that xp back that you originally got from the heirlooms you refunded.
Or calculate the bonus xp against the refunded gold, so the more xp you already got from the heirlooms, the less gold gets refunded. Otherwise this is just mad.

Well they didn’t give any compensation when they decided to add all main stats to every heirloom, so if you bought both sets (int + agi) of leather for example, you ended up with a bunch of extra heirlooms that you had no use for. So I doubt there will be any compensation for this.

You can enchant them and trade them over to your alts without ever having to re-enchant them. Have you seen how broken the crusader enchant is at low levels? Same with mark of the hidden satyr. Better to slap an enchant on a loom rather than upgrade your items every 5 levels and re-enchant them.

“Worth” is down to personal opinion. I upgraded my heirlooms using gold on realms that I left toons on and don’t play any more. Which was completely worth it in my eyes.

and again, enchants.

No I’m not kidding. Why in the seven hells would you even WANT XP boost on it? You’re still now leveling about 5x faster than before with the xp boosting looms in place…

The xp boost was always just the cherry on top. The real thing that made most people buy them is that they level up WITH YOU. And they still do that.

My good man, nobody asked for the XP boost to stay, you are simply inserting your own narrative. The point of contention is that heirlooms are now subpar statswise and the setbonuses that act as a replacement are beyond terrible. People invested in heirlooms for faster leveling, since they no longer fulfill that purpose in any capacity Blizzard should offer refunds.

I’ve wasted soooo much gold on gear, mounts, enchants, heirloom, repairs, boosts, transmog, food, potions, tabards, bribes, reputation, toys, blueprints, upgrades, downgrades, professions, character services, alts, bags, mails, flights, barbershops, gametime, crafting etc every expansion only for it to become useless the very next patch.

If I’d get even portion of that gold back then I would singelhandely and instantly ruin wows economy forever.

Meh, I’d rather have gear that’s effectively 1 level behind than switching items EVERY SINGLE TIME I GET ONE, and getting on my TransYAK and pay the greedy potato to transmog them back to my outfit. It’s annoying enough that I have to do that every time I get new gloves/boots/bracers (because I play with no gloves but bracers showing on the character I’m leveling)

Because any items you get are usually only 1, at most 2 ilvls higher (when you get lucky and the item gets upgraded in rarity when you get it) - with the exception of Legion artifacts that you get at so low level that they are ilvl 20 while your heirloom was still at ilvl 12-13 - but after some 20 levels they even out to be only some 2-3 ilvls ahead of heirloom weapons.

Since Heirlooms came out in Wrath we’ve all had more than our money’s worth out of em.

This is just a pathetic attempt and refunding an item you no longer deem useable even though they are still fully viable.
