I’ve been thinking the same to be honest. I’ve been wondering if there’s been some admins/mods begging to no longer have to deal with the Argent Dawn Forums.

“Please! Please, just lock it! We can’t stay on top of this! We don’t get paid enough!”

No it would have been easy to see if there were specific examples of anything that actually supported the claim that things are being ignored by the moderators that break the terms.

I’ve seen so, so many circumventions of bans and the same people continuing the same behaviour on their new forum avatars that I’ve lost count and lost all faith in it ever being properly enforced.

Yep. One person in particular comes to mind. One who has gone through 2-3 accounts to continue posting on the forums. Seemingly okay with paying for an account to just purely post on the forums and cause issues.

And naming them is a bannable offense in itself and nothing will be done about discord conspiracies to hurt other players and guilds because it’s outside blizzard’s sphere of influence. It’s genuinely worrying.

It is a bit weird how there is a certain sub-group of people who always snipe at those who want to stop the people breaking the ToS (and in general giving everyone else a bad name) with their erotic roleplay. I agree with the other posters here that I’d wish Blizzard would actually enforce their own rules a bit better.

I think we’d all be happy if Blizzard reinforced their Terms of Service and Erotic Roleplay was abolished, people are just doing what Blizzard isn’t and should be.

It goes to question if Erotic Roleplay is truly against Blizzards TOS. If it was so black and white, you’d see a GM going through Goldshire and you’d be seeing people phase out one by one just after ten seconds of looking through their chat logs in /w or /p or whatever.

The matter of Erotic Roleplay is not black and white. If it was, We’d be enjoying a pint in Lions Pride Inn without being harassed by you know what.

And I dare say, the issues and conflicts of the Argent Dawn Forums are leaking out.

I concur, in the same sense these type of threads are driven by discord conspiracies to try and snipe / hurt other players and guilds. These threads like these try to silence others.

Just one of the people that traverse around their forum ban by purchasing another active account I presume. You can look through my activity and find there’s nothing of the sorts, so accusatory behaviour in something I and other players are expressing concern towards due the amount of toxicity its bringing, isn’t far fetched.

To maybe illustrate the problem Argent Dawn currently faces a bit more in detail:

Someone makes a friendly-natured thread, sharing how much they enjoy their time within the community and urging people to be more compassionate. Of course it’s a bit cringy, but I think it’s done in a really sweet way.

Then, after people joined in a bit, had a bit of fun someone rushes in to take a snipe at the thread opener’s guild. Denouncing Perroy and The Rotgarde - #18 by Zhongdae-argent-dawn

Of course people flag the post and all, but it’s not a perfect solution, the thread derails afterwards. A thread that was done in a completely innocent spirit turns sour. And there are many other occasions like this happening on the Argent Dawn forums in an almost similar manner. And as Fairbanks pointed out the bans that are handed out are easily circumvented for the most dedicated trolls.

I know there is no easy solution to this and nothing really comes to mind for me for how to solve it instantly, but it’s still a pretty dissatisfying situation overall, especially because it has been like this for a while.

it feels like Mods dont really care about flags in most cases.

I flaged 15ish posts where someone is offensive, nor it got deleted neither its poster got punishement. Im gonna start emailing them from now on.

BUT god forbid I break a single rule and make a tiniest joke - they’re there, the silent protectors the watchful guardians! M O D S!!!

You can’t, it’s just flag without giving a reason for it. So you could potentially get a multitude of your friends to target a singular post to flag it and get it removed/covered up.

There be a more hands on approach for these sort of things in-game and on the forums. It feels redundant just opening a ticket or posting a thread at all, you’re just stirring the pot/all round unpleasantness.

Flagging also leads to a temporary lock of the thread.

So it’s a system that itself creates even more disruption in order to deal with disruptive posters.

So far it’s a forum problem (being harassed by someone) and I wouldn’t ask anyone else to flag them for me. I’ll just stick to my current stance of flagging and hoping if no other way to deal with it. I don’t even like flagging people in all honesty :frowning:

If it follows me into game I think might die of embarrassment for the person though lol

Edit: thanks Punyelf, I wasn’t sure of the email address there was suitable as it says if you have been banned. I’ll see what happens next and then escalate it if need be.

The author for TRP3 went out of their way to introduce a profile flagging feature for material such as ERP profiles, doxxing and other offensive content in BFA.

I’ve even spoken to a GM about it in the past:
