Reserving items in D/R is something like ninjaing for me. I got it, people wont wait to do 50+ runs to get an item. Someone approve this and some people dont. But i ignore all leaders who spam “reserved” in chat, and there i got a problem. I cant ignore more than 50 names!! And i dont want any of ninjas to be in my group or i get in to theirs at any point. So dont know how to solve this, is there any chance blizz can remove cap on ignored players on my own request trough Open a Ticket option? Or any other suggestion?
dont like loot rules, dont join group.
very simple, no reason to be a triggered kid about it.
So if a warrior is grinding for Ironfoe and tanking BRD for people hundreds of times you think he is a ninja for reserving that mace?
It is not, because you agree beforehand what you want to do. Compare the following:
- LF1M BRD, arena farm run (“But what if I want to do Angerforge??”)
- WTS Maraudon ring run, I boost you until you get the ring, 20g (“to pay to do a dungeon??”)
- Hello, I can heal SFK but my main spec is feral, will I be able to roll for rogue gear? (“But how!! He’s a healer!!”)
- LFG Gnomeregan, quest run (“I’ve already done them! Why should I wait for someone else’s quests?”)
- Sorry, no more rogues, we’re already 4 leather users and a 5th would be overkill (“BUT I CAN DPS!!!11ONE”)
You decide what you want to do and with whom. If you don’t like the conditions everybody else in the group agrees with, like the organizer or someone else reserving a certain item and they’re honest about it upfront, it’s as simple as finding another group that does what you want, or organizing your own.
An user has create an addon for these kind of situations:
It’s not really ninjaing, what if that person has done 50 runs and some little gnome mage takes their loot. It’s understandable.
If you don’t like the rules, make your own group.
I would imagine the only reason you’re complaining is because the loot that’s being reserved is the loot that you would roll on.
Yes ofc mate, but i still have one problem, i dont wish to see players who reserving items in my runs of D/R.
There is no real issue with creating ground rules that deviate from the standard before the run.
Ninjaing is a dishonest practice where you literally steal a drop by deliberately needing on it when you don’t actually need the item.
Setting a ground rule before hand where its agreed that someone will get a specific item is perfectly honest and allows people who dislike that looting rule the opportunity to opt out of it and find another group.
That is what i wanted, THANKS. Just dont want that kind of people in my runs, dont care if ppl reserve and item, their run their rules.
P.S. Delete alliance and make Horde…
Depends on the situation…
If I don’t want the item and nobody else in the group either, then he can have it.
Otherwise, it’s either roll for it or it’s without me in your party.
I don’t use my gaming time to serve the self entitlement mentality of the current gamer kiddies.
It is toxic, elitist private server culture. Shows lack of respect for the other player.
It makes some sense when the thing being organized is a raid. It is laughable when we are talking about UBRS and LBRS.
We will see how the situation evolves with new content, although I only see this kind of behavior prominent in servers with low population or weak guilds.
Just my opinion of course.
Every time i see a Dungeon run advertised as “LF healer - [only noteworthy healing item in this dungeon] is reserved” I can’t help but question there logic and laugh a little.
Well, I guess it’s a bit better than people who simply ignore messages from classes that might need on the item they’re after.
I rather have people reserving than master looting the boss and ninjaing it in the last moment. If you can’t stand it then make your own group. However I laugh every time a solo guy reserves something, if you gonna reserve something you better have 3 people from guild or who are friends, or at least have a tank or healer.
I just ignore those pugs. Simple.
Some people feel they entitled to loot and shouldn’t have to share it with anyone else.
Just stay away from such people and you’ll be fine.
I also get annoyed when seeing this especially when those people can’t even play their class properly, but there’s nothing we can do but ignore them.
Don’t join such trash groups, they’re cancer and best way to fight them is refusing to join them.
Using this addon for this scenario will prove to be counterproductive and I suggest to only use it for real ninja looters and toxic people.
Hello Miraine.
You have replied to me, not to Ctrlaltrage the owner of the thread.
You, as me, have read his complaint about the reserving LFG. For him this is a ninja behavior, so your reply validates his arguments.
I replied to you because you suggest using this addon. Op being delirious has nothing to do with my concern about misuse and misadvertisement of this addon.
If people use this and in 2 months have half the server blacklisted because the community is a giant heap of snowflakes then we’re just shooting ourselves in the foot. Repeatedly.
