Every death is a tragedy, natural or not. I never knew this person, but I offer my sincere condolences to those who knew him and to those whose hearts and lives he touched. Rest in peace, Brigante. May you journey on in the next life, and may you live on in this one through those who carry on your legacy.
Quite a few years ago, I remember seeing the Sun Hawks at a cross-faction summit in Hearthglen. They were in their snazzy uniforms, aesthetic red & gold TBC gear retrofitted with MoP elements in the most impressive way ā and they were outdrinking everyone IC and being amongst the last people to log, well into the late-night campfire RP.
I had little clue about Blood Elves as a whole - not the lore, not the players, not the guilds, and as I didnāt even have a Horde character at the timeā¦ I chose to level one, with the express purpose of joining the First Escadrille.
The Sun Hawks were my first foray into the red side and I never looked back since. Everything wasā¦ done in an unexpectedly incredible way, beyond anything Iād have known at that point.
He really opened my eyes in terms of what was possible to achieve creatively wise with a dedicated team at your back. When people were willing to see what you saw, alongside you. He taught me almost everything I know, as he was great in that way.
Through those late night conversations I figured we both happened to live in the same city, and got to know the man behind the character a little better. You donāt know me, but I love stories. I suppose we, as RPers, all share that love to some degree. But Iām especially a sucker for the sympathetic military ones ā and Brigante having been in the RAFā¦ had EXACTLY those iconic ones youād expect.
And so it is only fair that he, as the Brave, gets to inherit the skies.
I had a brief stint of Farstrider RP nearly a decade ago (I think we went by The Farstrider Expedition), and Brigante was one of the few people to make those days a lasting memory to me. Agree or disagree with him as one might, none could say that he wasnāt passionate about the things that were important to him - and thatās the kind of person you still remember after several years.
Hope youāre at peace Brigs, itās been real.
I never interacted with him, at least not in any capacity that I recall
But I did enjoy reading his walls upon walls of text here on the forum.
when he would enter a thread with his two cents, I knew I was in for a well formulated treat.
I have not known Brigante very well, nor have I rpāed much with him, but I did often see his reactions both on the Argent Dawn and General Discussion forums. He was already on our server when I came to Argent Dawn in 2013 myself, and hearing that he is no more, does feel like a good part of the server has now left us. What I remember best of him were some of the stories he wrote about his character, and they were pretty immersive.
I hope that wherever he is, he can now rest easy, and that his friends and family can find the strength to process his loss.
Ah manā¦ no
My heart goes out to his loved ones and those close to him ingame and here at the forums.
Rest in peace, Briganteā¦
I only roleplayed with him a few times, but I always loved reading his rollercoaster forum posts. They will be missed. Rest in peace, Brigante of AD.
Rest in peace, Brigante. You will be missed.
My condolences to all his friends and loved ones.
RIP.
Iāll miss Brigs.
From our forum agreements and disagreements.
The RP heād always let me join in on when I had nowhere else to go, and the laughs when weād catch a weird error.
He was a good, well rounded egg.
I always enjoyed his posts, his poise and his sense of humour.
Rest easy, old man.
I knew he was ill and I knew he didnāt expect to live for more than a couple of years but this seems so sudden and such a shock.
I only knew him from the forum, but he talked sense, backed up what he was saying and loved writing mountains of text. He knew so much about WoW and relished sharing it. I always smiled when I saw a long Brigante post and knew I had a treat to come.
RIP Brigante

I logged in now to take a look at the forum and I find this shocking news: even if I only know him from his posts here in the forum it is one of those things you never want to hear.
I have been attending the forum for a while and I seem to know you all for your way of proposing and/or responding and he has always shown himself to be a brilliant mind.
RIP Brigante
I had no idea he was as sick as he was. Truly a shock to hear he has passed away.
He was always a lively and enthusiastic guy from what I recall of him and definitely someone who made playing in game a lot more interesting and fun.
Condolences to his family and friends, the world grows only dimmer in his absence.
I ran into him a few years back when I was taking my first steps into RP on the red side. He spent some time RPing with me and I was in awe of how effortless he made it seem. Inspired to up my game, I headed to the forums in search of guides, more info on lore, etc and it was not long before I found a captivating wall of text with a familiar avatar.
Even though our paths never crossed again, it was delightful to read his posts whenever I chanced upon them. My condolences to his friends and family and may he rest well.
We met in WoW many years ago, learned we had some near-miss connections, and he encouraged many of us to come to a national fest LARP. Knowing him IRL and in-game, he was always kind, funny - the kind of man whoād take you under his wing and look after you, but also drag you along on an ill-thought out adventure thatād leave you with stories.
Iām going to miss him very, very much.
We never really agreed on lore and I did not know him well, regardless of my condolences to him and all of you who were close to him. If I know one thing about him it is that he was very passionate and that will be missed.

Iāve butted heads with Brigante many times. He was a stubborn man, who often times appeared to lean down from a pedestal to talk to people.
But often, he also tried to pull people up to that pedestal too. The man was a resourceful well of knowledge, charm, and fun. He was a well and sharp man, and the world today is a little emptier without him.
My condolences to everyone, but most especially his friends and loved ones.
Rest in peace, Brigs. He was among the first people who I ever RPed with on this entire server. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
Argent Dawn will miss him dearly.
