At this point, after all these months and their claim that the data is GONE, this petition only serves to showcase that the people signing it are deluded.
The limited time clone service worked perfectly fine, still does, i have access to my character every day.
good for you that you played during that time and still can log in and did not have your stuff deleted. What else am I supposed to say?
Wouldnāt one of the big problems be the old data overwriting the new data so all the work people have done since 2021 will be gone?
The bad part of that is that Blizzard will not read this, they donāt read the EU general forums at all. The only way I know of to bring this to their attention would be a suggestion ingame. Which I have already done and asked in a ticket. All I got from that was this quoted.
Yeah I know. Talked to 3 german GMs. They act super understanding, but canāt do anything about anything and then copy pasted the same pseudo-friendly-help crap as they always do. I rarely have the feeling Iām talking to a real human being. 99% of them are mere messengers.

I see your point. I really do. But it has affected hundreds of player in a very negative way.
In my case, they literally unexpectedly deleted my Sulfuras, BiS BWL/MC gear, PvP Rank 10 Stuff, mount, thousands of gold from the WoW Classic experience, because I didnāt click some stupid button I knew nothing about in time. So please, understand why people are so vigorous.
Exactly like that you can log into your WOTLK Classic account and still continue playing because you never deleted those characters.
I also never moved them to that specific game mode, while the one I originally played on, still exists on which some can and others canāt continue their toons because I didnāt click some button in time.
But sure, even with over 1K likes on the US forum on a single thread alone about this exact topic, you, yeah, you know whatās up and I alone am wrong. Get a grip, man. If 1K people on the forum have an issue about how this was handled, imagine how many other people among non-forum users, which are 98% of the playerbase, feel the same.
Itās the overwhelming majority of people who just came back because of summer holiday season and got some time and are down for classic wow.
I think the majority of players had their characters activated or cloned on Era when TBC Classic launched. So you are the minority.

I actually saw them on the server selection list. The number of characters I had. On my first login last month. With selecting the servers they disappeared and proving that they are the old servers and they simply moved character data. Why else would this happenā¦?

Yes, on the selection list with a āCloneā button.
They were not on the server if you didnāt activate the clone.
Iām talking about last month and cloning is goneā¦ But it looked like they were still there, why else would it show my amount of characters on servers if they are new servers and didnāt clone. It doesnāt make sense that way. This is actually mindboggling but probably a thing like āwe will never make classic/vanilla serversā attitude from blizzard to me ;D

Are you sure you looked at the correct server? (the Era and not the WotLK server)?
Over my dead body would I pay Blizzard even more $ just to have my characters back that they copied to wotlk and purged without even sending me mail warning me about the dataloss they had planned for us.
You had the option to do it for free during TBC Classic.
How is that of any relevance when they did not bother informing me about the purge? Itās of no use to me since I wasnāt even aware that they would purge all my characters.
The shouldāve had the baseline to stay on vanilla and have players opt in to play any more modern version of wow. Or at the very least sent a mail and warn us before the purge.

Ah yes the old, deleted before the service was removed and then were recovered thing. The Deletion didnāt include the already deleted characters.
So you admit that you were given the option but chose not to play this way leaving to Blizzard to make the choice for you?
