Lets say that even-EVEN those data r gone, they got serves that are Wotlk, before that they been tbc⌠in other words they got backup of those servers! And how possibly they could not have a back up of a server day one? What if serve could crash or anything backup is mandatory as clean setup day one. That clean setup also includes all the characters that gone to tbc, because its the day one back one, and even if it is not, im pretty sure they got a back up of those realms since tbc started, in other words im pretty sure they can do something to restore all those characters up to 90% progression for sure, they might miss some gold or profs, but im sure they can⌠If they dont want to this is another story for another reason like they didnt want classic to begin with, thats another story

I was not aware it was possible to save my characters as I quit for a long period. It sucks to realize now that all my characters are gone. Please blizzard, bring back our characters on classic era servers.

It doesnât make sense to keep backup of TBC day 1 because that data would be more that 2 years old, a lot has changed since then.
I know⌠but as last resort they could also look to that source as well in case there is anything left behind.
They said in the community council chat that there wasnât anything left behind. I have posted a link to the video, can post it again if you want to hear it yourself.
Oh well rip then for ppl lost chars, it seems they wont be coming back. I for one i would not if they have done this to me.

Yes however discussion goes on and on and on, i think a definite statement from someone inside blizzard would make sense like " No data is gone, you are welcome to make new characters and start your journey once again", or âwe looking at it and see what we can do, nothing certain howeverâ, and make it clear as day
There was a definitive answer from Blizzard. Watch the videos from the devs linked above a few times now. But some people here keeps bumping this topic, praying Earth is flat and cloning will come back. It wonât, it is dead and gone.
Letâs post it again in case itâs too difficult to scroll back and find it.
People want it. Im pretty sure, that Blizzard can recover the data if they want to.

Ahm community council? are they even dev or some kind of discord owners pretending to be councelors of somethin with social media ?
Community Council are players chosen by Blizzard after an application process. They can post on the Community Council forum and participate in such talks.
You mean like the âpermanently deletedâ blog post I have linked 4 or 5 times at least in this thread alone?
Nobody believes they donât have backups, they said they didnât anything backed up for Warcraft Classic to begin with, it was one of their excuses why they couldnât do the game until they decided to do the game and then suddenly they found the backups.
They have backups, they just donât want to engage/encourage the topic. Donât be so naive.
