I’m not having a meltdown I am just flabbergasted that people won’t accept what Blizzard have said.
So they are untrustworthy and what they say should not be believed, yes?

Either you trust what they say or you don’t.
Seems to me you are asking blizzard to say it, but will ignore all their answers until they finally say what you want to hear.

I’m flabbergasted that you can’t even entertain the possibility of a decision being changed. Nothing is written in stone, bigger and more important decisions have been reversed.

Back then, when we asked for Vanilla servers, they said the exact same thing.
(I don’t mind that much if they do it or not personally, but I can see why so many desire this service to return.)

Even if the backup exists on some hard drive somewhere the deadline has passed. The service has been discontinued. It is no longer available.
Really dont understand what’s goinf on here… You find the official statement of Blizzard in like 2 minutes if you just google it???

there are no new news right EU/US forums about clones. there is no new postings veryone forget about it .
Yes, I really really need it. I have mains from vanilla with full gear, full professions, etc that I worked for insanely hard, and it kinda just hurts my soul losing it. I played them all honestly. I grinded everything on my own, and did so many things cool things, and it’s all gone. I only have some screenshots luckily. I don’t mind starting from scratch, but I thought classic era would be completely dead and shut down, and I quit wow around the time, when cloning was offered, due to tbc being full of bots, my chars having been stuck on dead servers, and retail having been very bad. Very sad that they just deleted all my progress I had in classic. I did have some AQ gear, etc. on my main char, I had so many reps, etc. and all gone lol

Yeah it is such a pitty that so many players missed the cloning dead-line. Most players missed it due to lack of communication. Blizzard, weirdly, did not even bother to inform their customers with an email like they do for every little thing since 2004.
I wish blizzard decides to use the existing tech to bring back the cloning service or even a new service with template gear for og classic players so you guys can join us in era and have some fun.

realy i didnt know they will remove it from the shop and tbc i left the game bc of my work. and for wotlk i returned but i didnt like the wotlk. bots, server population problems and stuff. now i am stack there is no new server som2 to start over or lvling new char on classic era with no gold nothink ,in AH nothink worth anythink for low lvls they dont sell. and making my main agein seems soooooooo hard if i knew blizzard doing an efford to bring clone services back i could open an alt and lvl slowly until my main comes agein but with no news nothink i cant do anythink. i stoped my sub. and playing some other game atm

They didn’t, they progressed them, they are on wrath realms now.
As said many, many, many times with proof, the data is gone.

Since he does not play wrath and has no interest in it then his progress is gone. No matter if it was deleted or not.
It is recoverable if the company decides to use the available tech. Depends on if it provides profit or not.
No one here asked for a boost. I was refering on downscaling any classic character that was created and hit max level (60) before tbc pre-patch came live. Famous service in mmorpgs and easily implemented as the data is there.
(btw era is full of boosts atm. You can easily level any character you want in 2-3 days by boosting it.)

Don’t worry mate. It is just him and 2 other “very special” forum users trying to deny 20year old technology. Normally players that actually care about the game completely understand your problem and i sincerely hope you find a solution asap.
