high warlord, dedicate time and bombs dropped on my lands that why i can not log in for the longest time and since move to England I can log in my character forced on WOTLK classic ***** !!!
@Dottie
you mean permanently deleted as wow classic was permanently gone?
seems wow was not so âgoneâ ⌠my guess is the chars are stored somewhere (possibly outside of the servers)
if there is enough interest they will be brought back, other issues may arise then, such as servers being overcrowded once again.
blizzard may be weighing if its more trouble than its worth, who knows.
what´s clear is if they wanted to shut down this argument you would see a blue post.
Lousy argument as they used the Legion server side software and the data for the world was on every original disk and just needed some updating. Also that was not unused character data which is a completely different thing.
Sorry but that will not happen. The data is gone for ever, aka Permanently deleted. Blizzards words not mine.
I actually find the idea of GDPR being applicable to fictional characters highly amusing.
Yes please, didnât clone all my characters due to Era being so low pop for such a long time.
Would it be possible to get a Blizzard blue response here?
âyes we may look into thisâ
âno your chars are gone for goodâ
p.d. I keep getting mails reminding me of all the products you want to sell me, but I never got a mail reminding me my chars would be perma-wiped. (makes you wonder)
Thanks.
This has been confirmed by the post I have linked many times. âPERMENANTLY DELETEDâ means the data is gone. The support article supports this.
Just give up, it is useless trying to convince them
If I can say it just one more time than they can deny it then Iâve won.
Hey,
I dont really care what you call it. Clones bla bla, service bla bla whatever.
As a customer I donât care. You can figure out your own tech.
Instead of arbitrarily letting my charaters stay on a classic server you choose to arbitrarily move my charaters to tbc/wrath while my account was deactivated.
My charaters have never even been logged into tbc/wrath so you could just copy them back if you werenât incompetent.
Also talking about the cost of storing a little data in the era of cloud computing is a joke.
Get your act togheter.
0/10 customer service.
0/10 business sense.
Not buying diablo4, not bothering with SOM2.
Good job mishandling the current ressurgence of interest in your game.
Bye
They could not let your characters stay on a classic server because the server itself ceased to exist as a classic server, and instead progressed to TBC, as a whole, with everything on it, including your characters.
You seem to think blizzard moved your characters from one server (classic) to another (TBC). They did not. Your characters are exactly on the same server you left them on. The server just changed to a TBC server, because thatâs what happens when an expansion is released.
Thanks for the bump. And actually my client still had the number of characters for the servers cached when I logged in, they were just not there anymore, so I guess they were moved.
It was already one of the top posts so⌠no problem, i guess.
I sincerely hope blizzard responds affirmative to this service coming back.
I wonder what these passive aggresive toxic posters will say then.
The âcommunityâ should be asking for this back as a whole⌠amazing how low people go.
/sigh
And what will you say when they confirm that the data is gone and the service is not coming back?
No doubt deny it even more.
They should enable character transfer to era serves but only with characters who have not logged in since before the stupid tbc prepatch. I know blizzard has the data to transfer and verify tthat these characters are legit and true classic characters. And they should enable us to transfer those characters to the era realms⌠Because we didnât care about TBC classic and havenât logged in since then. But that doesnât mean that our characaters should have been AUTO TRANFSERED to the stupid new expansions because we have not asked for it.
I did not âcloneâ cause I had zero interest in TBC. Played it once back in the day and I had zero interest in it, so I just quit without choosing an option to pay and copy my characters or to just transfer them to the expansion. And nowadays I see that classic era realms are actually populated again and my chars have been auto transfered to wotlk? such a disgraceâŚ
You characters were progressed naturally from Classic to TBC then to Wrath. Exactly as they would have been back when the original classic came out.
If you didnât choose (for free) then thatâs not Blizzards fault. They were not auto transferred, they were progressed, huge difference.
Donât return clone service. Roll a new character.
Making new chars is a waste on a non-fresh realm. Youâre years behind the curve and before you catch up its over. Better to enoy the summer.
