You need to wake up people. Blizzard is no more, there’s only Activision. Whatever decision they make - they are doing it for money. Whatever gets more $$$ to them - will be done. And if majority of people will have enough time to level - they will not swipe that credit card for a character boost, so why they made this choice should be clear for everyone. Whining is pointless. Worst part is - on the place of 1 person quitting the game because of that will come 5 who will spend their cash and play anyway.

You cant boost blood elf or draenei

How do you come to that conclusion? Prepatch was launched on December 5th, TBC release was January 9th. Even if you count both release dates that is only 36 days. And it was 36 days with pretty much no content. No draeneis, blood elves or jewelcrafting.

So now when we acually have something to do in terms of leveling etc, then it’s shorter. Makes sence!

You’re literally, turning your community against you.

9.1 is incredibly late, to an expansion that is bloated with monotonous systems that are quite frankly, all trash. They don’t respect the players time, and facilitate a toxic community.

And now, you’re cannibalizing what is honestly the best iteration of the game, through well, just greed basically. When people asked for Classic they just wanted the game as it was, some changes have been essential to have the game adapt to modern gaming. But all this cash mount, cosmetic rubbish needs to stay on retail. It won’t ruin the game, but it takes away from why those playing Classic in the first place enjoy it, and campaigned for it for so long.

What are you doing. Soon the only people playing your games will be tourists.

$70 for a ‘Deluxe Edition’, for a game we all already technically own is disgusting.

Massive let down. Due to my shifts in work I won’t be even able to play for the first week of the prepatch. Might reach level 20 by the end of the second though…

$40 for a boost as well lmao. No thanks.

Its obvious that blizz dont have the server capability and probably want people to either quit, pause subscription nor be able to get free from work, in the end they are doing eveyrone a favor in terms of our private economy and spare some people mental health issues from less queues.

Would have loved a longer prepatch.

After all this farming the only thing I’m actually prepared is to have a nice break now and June is too soon for me.

I’ve expected TBC in August, like two years after Classic’s release, could have been nice.

Funny, you guys have barely done anything against multiboxing during the whole Classic experience and your new rules about it came way too late, but in the same time you actually managed to release TBC is way too early.

Looks like we have another Blizz poor decision…

Since Blizzard caters to the 1% I am sure they will also do so to the 1% in this chat here not complaining

It’s obvious that any Blizzcon promise in the future should be treated as a big ‘MAYBE’ , and that Blizzard as a company does not give a **** about what their players want. I’ve been unable to express the disappointment I feel about this decision in text, so I’m just gonna leave it up to your imagination. I’m reconsidering if I want to spend time playing the game at all, considering it seems like you’re going in the completely opposite direction of what your fanbase wants.
Dad is not mad. Well maybe a little… but mostly, dad is disappointed.

Boost argument doesn’t make ANY sense here! You have been able to level a character for TBC since February when it was announced…

It does though. A lot of the new players that were planning to level up a draenei or blood elf during the prepatch will now after seeing the 2 weeks prepatch change their plans, and boost another race character to main in TBC instead.
Don’t forget that there are so many people that play blood elves on the horde side. They are now all most likely to forget about their blood elves and boost another race instead because 2 weeks is ridicilously short.

I’m personally a big nolifer that has 12 level 60s on my server and 3 on another, but even I don’t think that I can hit level 60 in 2 weeks. (especially considering the amount of lag/bottleneck/mob tagging wars/pvp griefing etc. will take place in those 2 weeks.

Should have been 3 weeks, in all honesty.
But I don’t care all THAT much about this. Not a big deal getting to 70 a few days late.

The bigger issue for me is the ridicilous price tags and all this mtx thats coming into the game.

Passionately waited for a time I can play TBC again as it is a game from a simpler time.
A time, long ago, when Blizzard placed the players first.
A time, long ago, when Blizzard treated its players with respect.
They poured all of their passion in their products. They polished them to a point you could see your reflection in their games without even trying.
But it is Blizzard that decided to add the shop, to remind me of what they have become.
Now TBC classic makes me sad, as it reminds me of what it was and what it has become.
Blizzard, this is to you.
To the people who have forgotten what it is to love the product they make.
To the people who have forgotten what it is their community wants.
To the people who have forgotten what it is to keep a promise.
We will miss you, but you are no longer that bright beacon of hope.
You’re a moldy, corrupted, disfigured version of what you once were.
Sadly, you lived long enough to become the villain.

you know you can continue levelling on Azeroth even after the Dark Portal opens do you?
or are you so pumped up to stand in queues in Hellfire Peninsula?

I am more concerned as to why we (seemingly) cannot savour Classic for a few months more and then transfer to TBC on our own when we please (I am ok with a paid transfer). I feel I am pressed to force-go to TBC or remain in Classic forever. And no, I don’t want to have a clone character.

“we will give players ample time to level up their characters of the new races”

Also…I was planning to clone one of my characters to play on both TNC and CE, but wtf $35? I expected $15 top, I won’t be doing that!
