Return to Outland on 2 June in Burning Crusade Classic

So tired of them writing time in AM and PM. For god sake we use 24h time in EU

Eh? Dec 5th US, and TBC released Jan 16th not 9th. Works out to 43 days. Plus, I seem to recall they allowed draenei/blood elf the day before the portal opened which was also an attempt to help save their servers from overload at the portal which didn’t really go that well. But we have layers now, and two they did promise us plenty of time to level our belves and draenei which is just very disappointing to get a SHORTER prepatch than normal.

I very much agree. Why must this be rushed? Please could we have a pre-patch time of at least 4 weeks. Personally, I’d prefer 6-8 weeks (I’d like to lvl an alliance shammy and horde pala).

Damn, the salt concentration in here is so high one might perish from hypernatremia just by reading the replies.

I for one is looking forward to TBC =)

…but I do agree to being perplexed about the short notice. It seems like a strange business decision. More people would probably have returned to outland if they were given sufficient time to prepare. I think some executive somewhere has underestimated the importance of “release lans”, which could bring back a lot of players from hibernation. But hey, at least they live up to the TBC slogan: YOU ARE NOT PREPARED xD

Blizzard appear to think that the UK is not in Europe?

We are geographically, but in every other sense we are not.

12 days from pre-patch to launch - what are you doing? Screw your quarterly earnings reports to blood-sucking vampires - I hope you get fired

SMH :woman_facepalming:
You told us that you wanted us to be able to play with our friends and not be behind when they were going through the portal. You lied. People had made plans! Guilds had made plans and you give us a 2week prepatch?
What is the matter with you?
Honestly I don’t understand how you can mess up something nearly everyone was excited about/ looking forward to!
Please, reconsider the release date.
4 week prepatch is still less that the original but it makes far more sense and allows everyone the time you promised to lvl their new main and also experience prepatch, which is a totally unique time in wow.
For once, do the right thing by your customers!

Wow 6 likes already thats a handful of the playerbase liking that announcement :open_mouth:

The cost to play our characters though is HUGE! Why? Horrible kick in the teeth. With lockdown coming to an end I think people will be leaving the house more and you’ll probably have better success with lowering the price eventually but £30-£40 for 1 character ? eek!

I am just happy Cape Town showed up on the map :stuck_out_tongue:

You’ll notice that the few that liked that post will stick their neck out for Blizzard and defend them at every turn too. So it’s worse than that.

But the boost dont even work on the classes you would want to pay the boost for

They have to like it or they wont get their precious MVP status.

I will inevitably cancel my wow subscription my parents have been paying for over 16 years, if blizzard keeps going down this path that only leads to hell. I’m literally as disappointed as asmongold or the other content creators…(only they care about the game idc about the ppl who r stupid and think everything’s ok cuz it’s most definitely not) just listen to the community and dont rush it thats all you gotta do blizzard was once a great company… we’ll see how it’ll turn out… (My parents payed blizzard over 3,5k€ over 17 yrs for comprehension) I once too loved the game :x until everyone tried to ruin it basically after WotL

crappy planning by Blizz. Two weeks after pre-patch is just too short, although they probably planned this so more people use the boost feature.

I was planning on taking time off work for a week or two for the release but I have to give a month notice for holiday so that’s not going to happen now.

Also what’s with the mightnight launches. Can’t you split the different regions up so we don’t have to stay up all night?

How is that supposed to sell boosts? You can’t boost the new races, which means you have had over 20 months to level your character for TBC if the Blizzard boost is an alternative.

They used to do that for raid releases. We didn’t like it. Noone is forcing you to stay up all night.

And originally those races were not available in the pre-patch at all. Blizzard just gave them 2 weeks headstart compared to the original launch. Yet people moan about this, it’s stupid af. I think it should be 35$ for a copy of all characters lol. Not a single 1 of them.
