Show me what can you do in Blood Moon, youtube is free
Nothing but thatâs something too specific. In everything else, rogues are godclass and if you donât agree, youâre for sure trolling as I said.
Some fights are just not meant to be won. Sometimes it is pointless, no matter what you do. Like if you caught out of stealth by a geared shadow priest. Or if you share your personal concerns on the forums. You can use them consumes and write up arguments till your fingers are numb. Sometimes it just doesnât matter. The priest will teabag your corpse, the forumer will call you a loser and kek in your general direction. But hey, good news! You usually have an upper hand in choosing which fights to fight! So use it.
Yes and that is my point, currently there is no mainstream content where rogues can compete for rewards because lack of specific abilities that would allow them to at least âhave a chanceâ, like cloak of shadows to help them use vanish in a battle royale.
You mean like every caster?
Lol⌠casters do cast at range, but we have no auto attack damage, we are interuptable, and abide by spell cast times which can be pushed back.
Fire and Arcane mages are by far the worst pvp class besides maybe shaman i guess. If you cant kill the squishiest class in the game as a rogue. You have terrible skill and should reroll to druid. A much more simple class to play.
Frost mage is alot stronger because they some actual defence. But Frost is the worst pve class currently. Absolute bottom on logs phase 1 and 2. So at least they have traded something for it. Frost mages should be the kings of pvp for being so bad at pve. But they arenât.
Like others have mentioned 3-4 rogues 1-2 druid is a popular setup for stv. Try that out.
If you want to play as a pro and do a perfect stunlock, you canât say â1 or 2 mutiâ. The numbers must be perfect.
What you need is to learn about the energy flow or actually to have an addon that shows you that, so you can time your stunlock on that flow. Thatâs something majority of people donât realize and they think it is just a muti spam with a kidney shot from time to time⌠but is not. Energy is so different to mana and it can go against you big time. It needs more than clicking buttons.
Best rogues know well other classes so they know what other classes do and can react to that. For sure because it is a game, you play with a lot of unknowns, and especially in SoD, it is a game of many new things.
Count in fact that we are not lvl 60 yet, your dagger skill might be low (hit, dodge, parry), various stun / poison resists and at lvl 40 you are operating within some randomness. And also that rogue is a heavily equipment-dependent class⌠so you better get the best gear especially daggers asap.
There are some interesting builds you can try to go with â for example with talents to lower opponentsâ armor so you are hitting everyone like if they were cloth. The best builds are all over internet and there is not many of them, especially on this level.
Look up for PSHERO on Twitch. He is basically full time employed rogue and mastered the craft
Agreed rogue is a class that needs to be mastered and needs to played like a game of chess, you use the wrong cooldown at the wrong time youâll find yourself cheque mate.
Majority of rogue players just run in and mutilate spam and hope for the best and when they canât use their abilities anymore cause of energy starvation they cry about how theyâre not OP enough.
I loved watching Pshero during the TBC classic days, not so much now.
Just play Rogue style and your fine
No other class, especially in Vanilla, get so many PvP skills then Rogue
never meet so many bad played Rogues in Wpvp befor since SoD
As Rogue you need to know the CDâs of other Classes as well
The point is you have to learn the fundamentals of playing Rogue. If you learn the basics of Rogue combat in classic you can apply it on SoD.
For example. Against a mage. You can open cheap shot. If they blink you can vanish and use shadowstep and then use kidney shot. Now they have to iceblock or eat a full kidneyshot. If they ice block you can blind them when they get out and reset the fight. Unless they trinket the blind. If they trinket and frost nova, you can trinket and sprint and gouge or kick their polymorph.
That was an example.
The reason Rogue is so hard is because Rogue requires thinking very tactical. The same goes for Wpvp. You always have to consider the context. In group pvp Rogue has alot of tools but require timing.
Compare Rogue against playing a shadow priest for example. A shadow priest doesnt have as many tools. A Fear and that is it. As a Shadow priest you really only have to worry about getting your dots on your target, kite, and then watch as they melt.
Rogue requires more skill by the user but is also rewarded in that it can handle almost any situation if the user is skilled enough and has the knowledge and preparation.
sounds like a skill issue
Here listen from rank 1 player. Open with 1v1 open cheap shot ambush kindey shot ambush blind then vanish sap wait for stun dr do same thing, if trinket on kindey blind vanish and repeat. you beat any one 1v1.
in group you are rogue so most likely will die even in 1v1 you cant beat any one in front line.
you want your class be like other classes? reroll you cant have everything and 10 second stun lock + 10 sec blind
true, but, shadow priest:
Oh yey, a low hp guy! shadow word: death critical1k. Yey!
20 seconds later: Yey!
Geez someone is attacking me: disperse to help with fear cooldown if any, fear, dot, SWD! Yey
----- jokes aside ----
Attacked a mage I thought was alone, while I was able to do what you said, got frozen freed myself, got to him, got to him again , he was low HP then paladin put me to 5 sec stun and in 5 sec I was dead.
Attacked a warlock, he put his passive life drain on me, i kept him stunned for like 8 seconds, was spamming multilate meanwhile with two (30dps daggers) with adrenaline rush, guess what? He killed me! His passive heal and tankiness is so freaking broken!
While I was waiting to leave combat so I could stealth, hunter shot me from behind with chymera for 800, so shadowsteped on him, got frozen by trap, he went away, shoot another slowing trap, got sting, flare, meanwhile stunned by pet. Was dead.
Humans with BFD ring: see that rogue in stealth 1000 yards away? yes, letâs get him, their vision for stealth is so high that i cant even shadow-step on them without them seeing me and dotting me first.
Druids/warriors attack power reduction shout does not deal damage but reveals me, I jump in a fight with them and get lucky enough so they use that instantly because others around and cant do my combo (ofc vanish on CD). Then they use their anti stealth and I am disabled for 30 sec or so from going stealth, I can just stand there or run and get dotted and slowed by 3 other people, same applies when you catch any dot.
When I jump on someone that is solo going on mount: Jump, and due to shadow step global cooldown he gets far enough away that i canât use stun or anything on them. When I get to them they are already in a big group.
a guy made a pretty nice fun video watch?v=i1Uy98SfPRY priest part is especially funny.
My man, after 3 days in WSG, there is not much to cry about in terms of Rogues. Between 2 gap closers, 1 ranged stun, 1 melee stun, 1 ranged slow, blind, vanish and sprint there is no way you have a hard time versus anybody.
Now get your head around the fact that Bloodmoon is some BS event which everybody zergs in, and youâll understand that you have a great PvP class in ur hands.
This is the same for everyone. STV event is a fustercluck of epic proportions. I think you will have a better time when they get the lag sorted.
Druids have very little aoe. Ferals have no aoe. Balance has hurricane on a 1 min cd. Nothing to write home about.
Rogues are the best melees, after the broken melee hunters. By far.
If you think its hard to play as a rogue right now, please level a feral druid, enhance or warrior and tell me how it goes. You are extremely strong compared to the rest of the melee lineup.
Today I ambushed a priest: miss, then attacked with mutilate, miss, another miss, between eye miss, 5th attack was a hit. when he saw it he just feared and ignored me xD i have it on video!
tried to stun balance druid: parry
not sure if priest fear, druid root, mage poly/frost nova, can be resisted with current fear. by melee attacks can be missed and parried and dodged.
big scary rogue misses against cloth users from behind.
rogues lmfao, i want to see your muti nerfed so badly, especially with the crit buffs from combat, it is very consistent dps and spammable.
your entire toolkit is made to be broken in SoD, stop trolling.
cuz u miss allot of hit, and the problem about warris, and priests is, that they can skill a talent, what makes them be able to have a resist chance to stuns
it happend pretty often to me, that a priest resist 2 cheap shots in a row, it´s just bad game designe, but if u land a cheap shot + kidney, he is pretty much toast.
in a 1v1 situation u also can sap the priest, and cheap shot him with a stop attack macro, so u can re enter stealth, if your cheap shot resist.
