Dear english Roleplay Community,
i am one of the german roleplayers who played WOW since the beginning and we all needing your support.
We don’t understand why the gemrans did not get one RP realm for us and i am pleased that you did get one. Now for us we try became one for us to. There are already some topics in the forum for our screams for it.
I personaly was hopping that we can get your voice and your support to, so that everyone who plays WOW have the same options and choices what server they can join. Personaly i think we are enought to fill a server and having the good old RP Days again we all know from classic back there and i can assure that many old rabbits are playing again and some don’t want to start because there is no Server like that.
There are hundreds if not thousands of german RP players spread over all realms, since our first choice Everlook was full and still has queues at prime time.
Many player had to choose alternative realms and now no one knows how to locate the other RP players.
Meeting them by chance is neardly impossible due to layering.
We would really appreciate a RP realm, to find, meet, and play with the other german RP players.
Sadly the english realm(s) is no option for many german players who are not able to use english to the extend, necessary for rolplaying. Moreover, the foreign language extensively disturbs immersion for all players who are not able to understand the language.
If no german RP realm is going to be created anytime soon, we will loose a huge portion of our RP community.
Because many players are not motivated to keep on playing on normal realms where we are barely able to play RP since we only meet other RP players by chance due to layering and since players, not using the forum, have no idea where and how to find the remainder of the RP community.
We, the German-speaking role-players, can’t understand why we didn’t get our own RP servers. I am pleased that the English-speaking community has roleplaying servers and we are now trying to get a home for the German-speaking role-players (in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and other countries) as well. There are already some topics in the German forum where we fight for our own roleplaying servers.
So I’m addressing you, the English roleplayers, with a request for support and I hope that you can understand why this is important to us and why we’re asking for support.
Please try to imagine that the situation would be reversed, that you don’t have your own roleplaying servers, that you would be forced to play on a server where French, Portuguese, Spanish or German is the server language. I assume that you wouldn’t be able to play happily on such a server either. Yes - there are many - very many - people who speak English. But: there are about 140 million people in the world who speak German (even if not all 140 million play WoW ). And the folks, among the 140 million who play WoW, want to play the role-playing game in their native language.
Especially for role-playing it is important to be able to communicate in the native language. Phrases, idioms, proverbs and similar things can only be conveyed correctly in the own language.
