Cheers for the heads-up. Upvoted that one to support it as well and forwarded it to people I know because the more the merrier.

Upvoted too, always room more more variety of mogs especially some that arent full on armor/combat orientated.
Wheres stuff like scarfs, comfywear, the beanies from tiragarde etc.

Yeah
I keep several grey quality “armor” items on many of my characters; unremarkable, comfy-looking trousers for relaxing, ordinary-looking hats, and those chest pieces that look like a knitted wool sweater

:jeans: :womans_hat: :coat:

For that, and some other RP reasons, I’m always running out of bag space

And so we’re going to have cross-faction groups. At very long last, no need for addons for it!

I just heard, from my GM. I have to look at the details before I celebrate too hard :grinning:

For instanced dungeon content only and not in the open world unless I didnt hear that right. A good move to make queues more enjoyable though.

Oh, so if you queue for a (random) dungeon in
group finder? - you can get group mates from either faction, thereby (presumably) reducing wait time by more or less 50 % ?

I read up on it more and by the sounds of it it works like this:

  • They worded it to be an opt-in feature so people dont get upset with their faction allegiance but want people to be able to play with friends across factions
  • You can now invite realID and battletag friends into cross-faction groups and while remaining unfriendly (orange) it lets you now use group and raid-chat together.
  • Furthermore entering dungeons, rated battlegrounds and raids (unless they have faction specific mechanics such as icecrowns airship battle or similar) should work and let you do that together.

What it probably means for rp however, and thats the good part
You can now invite people to your group from the other faction and due to being able to read and write in a share group and raidchat, you can now do cross-faction rp events a lot easier.
You’ll likely be able to see the location of your groupmates and all event specific things usually written in raidchat or raidwarning , or combat related /rolls you can now see cross-faction without issues.
It was an issue before because having alliance friends tag along in a horde event (or the other way around), youd have to seperately message them about anything going on, rather than being able to notify everyone at once.
Raidmarkers were also invisible to them due to not being in your group so the location of would-be enemies or places of interest you couldnt really signal either, which should be fixed now.

Its coming in 9.2.5 so its still a ways away and while you cant enter the other factions cities etc and other restrictions remain, it’s still a decent step forward for gameplay and rp possibilities

Yeah, I’m much more interested in the RP possibilities than the raiding stuff :slightly_smiling_face:

That sounds great!

One more to the count: I wish we could change hairstyles like we can set different outfits. It would be nice if we could have a hairstyle for everyday, for festivities, for parties, for hot weather and so on without having to visit the barber all the time.

Not to mention “realistic” hair style changes like being able to let your hair loose, and gathering it in a pony tail, or braiding it, etc, without visiting a barber. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve found a missed opportunity again: do we really have no fishing rod transmogs?
The Kalu’ak is epic, the Broker is rare, theoretically those should be moggable. I’ve checked the two-handed item appearances but I cannot see those added.

Anyone?

  • More tattoos across the board.
  • More beard options (and add it for trolls, undead, goblin etc).
  • Add forest trolls (and maybe make female forest trolls slightly bulkier than usual).
  • More/Better hairstyles.
  • Add glasses as a barber option (so you can use it together with hats).
  • Remove armor transmog restrictions once you’ve learned it.

And if not the last one

  • Make all garrison sets Cosmetic.

I really like some of the inventive ways of travel and world building Blizzard have used:

eg) BFA - ferry boats
SL - Venthyr coaches

So on that theme, I would like to see a few additions to older areas to improve realism if Blizz are doing a revamp anyway. :grinning: :woman_shrugging:

Eg) In Elwynn or Westfall areas, there are a number of farms, but we don’t see any npc controlled wagons moving food, wood or goods between the settlements.

Beer deliveries to inns etc - they can’t ALL be delivered from Kharanos to IF by adventurer  (so many thirsty dwarves
)

Perhaps someone may be able to come up with other examples/ideas ?

The player could maybe hop on these wagons and hitch a ride ?
(May also be useful to anyone new that hasn’t yet got an heirloom mount :woman_shrugging: Quieter too!).

The only instance of something a tiny bit like this in the older areas (that springs to mind) was the Fiona quest chain in Plaguelands. We currently have a few walking merchants in the old areas, but they wouldn’t manage the heavy stuff.

(I can’t think of any others, might have missed some tho).

I have mentioned the possibility of a player controlled wagon mount for all races (another option) on a previous post, so won’t go into it again.

And adding to this, make Goldshire area to actually be a small town like it is in lore

This is how it looks like in lore.

Reminds me a lot of the Caverns of time Stratholme bit before you enter the city itself. Its really pretty.

Yarp, I wish they’d do this with many areas that are supposed to be small towns
and add NPCs that walks around, talking with other NPCs to make it feel alive.

Generally making the world feel bigger and more alive. By now we’ve seen every corner of it given flying and such
but as people said before, a lot of stuff in-lore isn’t reflected ingame. From the way gadgetzan looks, goldshire, and plenty other settlements.

Needed more of that. Ever since lfg and the steady decline in players, the world just feels more empty than ever.
