yikes in 10
I can only speak for the bit I’ve been involved with (Loch Modan) but generally speaking it’s been good. Like, there’s always the odd misstep but taken in the greater context of everything going right I really can’t complain?
I imagine the Horde is getting pretty bored with seeing Dwarven Mortars pop up, for example, but they’ve been good sports in balancing the numbers.
I was completely ready to give the siege victory to the Horde. It was deserved for how patient you were. I don’t care about who won, it’s how it was won that bothered me. Victories or losses don’t matter clack in RP-PvP it’s the involving roleplay that does.
There was no walk. The walk was inside the Ritual area, outside it became you running after us. My point of view was this: * Started backing out, running backwards. See the Horde RUSHING after us, not walking, RUSHING, nuking us along the way. * There was zero involving roleplay, zero battle sense. I was literally legging it down to the fourth level, and still horde SWARMED me. But maybe walking to you means run for god and country. * Shrug *
Having literally the entire raid group die running out caused great amounts of frustration on our part. So yes, we got pissed off and started killing.
I guess we all got what we deserved? 4 days of getting stomped on vs 10 minutes. All I will say to conclude this is: the 8 that were empowered walked all throughout, and you are entirely mistaken if you claim otherwise. The rest of the autoattacking forces were free to run.
I must have completely missed the bit where I didn’t have my walk button toggled as I slow-mo walked towards the fleeing Alliance raid. Thank you for lettting us know that our keybindings aren’t working correctly, it wasn’t visable on our screens.
Autoattacking? Yes, slows, stuns and having my HP completely stomped was all result of Autoattack. I’m sure.
I’ll thank you for the event, because I enjoyed what I got before the siege. The idea with the ritual was bada**, so was the DMing during the ascent. But it all ended in chaos.
I will add that as we were told 5 trolls were meant to be empowered not 8. Lost in translation perhaps?
I take it you were one of the empowered trolls? Good on you for walking.

ask your GM/officers, the other guilds were well-aware.
All of the eight empowered were walking - I know this for fact, thanks to the many screenshots - but let me say this; it -wasn’t- planned that the rest of the group would burst you, but as it stands? There were only several doing that, and they were killed in response. Which, if you ask me? Is fair enough.
However. I feel like this is dragging on - it ended in a fantastic way, if you ask me - even taking away the approach from the Loa-blessed eight, seeing the entirety of the sieging Alliance force turn around, bolstered on open ground, to try an all-out assault on the chasing horde of Trolls? I’m taking that unrestricted fray as totally IC - and it’s cool; we were crushed back, beaten in to our own city, a last-ditch effort and cry of divine begging paying off to turn the fight around.
Why can’t people be happy with an agreed upon outcome, I wonder? Especially one executed so well, considering the fact we had over 180 people there tonight?
you’re such a champ, kump
Forums…forums never change.
So Alliance were allowed to blast the Horde back? I wasn’t at Hinterlands but if Alliance could fight back with unrestricted, I’m not sure what the issue with the finale would be then lol
Sounds sick lads waiting for the screenshots
Well to say this. It was maybe as your side well executed. But from my side it started well until it ended up like hell. For sadly it did not end up as IC rp-pvp. It ended like pvp Hope for better luck next time. But my faith in Rotgarde is very very very very low after knowing them for some years.
I wouldn’t really spit at Rotgarde here, considering how a certain alliance guild I’ll refrain from naming kept breaking rules and their GM told someone to F*** off for raising a complaint. Not to mention the kill emotes added to it
There was a planned, slow-style unrestricted through the city: admittedly, that did get a little out of hand - but I feel like it was a wonderful, interactive horde of screaming, bloodthirsting trolls, animals backed in to their final corner, fighting for a city full of survivors, yeah?
After this, the Alliance came back in large force and started an unplanned and OOC-fuelled unrestricted gank; but they were met back by an overwhelming number of the trolls present turning to unrestricted again, and keeping it IC! It turned in to 20-30 minutes of unrestricted hunting through the woods where solo people were cut down, trolls were swarmed by groups of the Alliance, and then beaten off by reinforcements from the raid – it turned in to a wonderful, random end!
So, we’re not allowed to do something that has been plenty of times before (Loa empowered champions) but you’re allowed to have a Ladder that defies the laws of physics, use CC even when told not to (Looking at you Seventh legion). Nice logic.
Every Rotgarde member present was using a skeletal or spiritual toy, to assist us in acting as summoned troll spirits and spectres, set to beat the Alliance back. They played an important and wonderful hand in this end to the event! Faith may be low, but let’s be real - without them, this would’ve been an unsatisfying (for both parties) crushing of the trolls in completion given the wide difference between our numbers!
did not say I do not have faith it just low. After all even with the mess at the end. I got my feeelings back to rp-pvp so they are sort off thanks for that too
Come on now, we did also call those people out and even kicked someone for doing it. The human ladder was odd…but not us, thankfully.
