Fair enough. What is the price of an M+? What is the currency difference between +7 and +10?
Having 626 is absolutely more than enough for any tank or healer. You will be instantly invited. However, damage dealer is a premium role. Comes with far less responsibility, therefore, there’s much bigger competition for those spots. This problem is created in small part by design from Blizzard, but in big part by the playerbase: people don’t want to tank or heal.
How should it work then? You MUST have ilvl to be able to clear the content and your team must have a wide range of utilities in order to survive.
The wall only exists if you believe it exists. Nobody is excluded from Myth track gearing. It does need more game play time than it needed in previous seasons, but it is still very much doable.
I am yet to find anyone who think like this.
I don’t see how does it create any issues. It provides a jump of difficulty without introducing any mechanic. Literally the thing everybody here (not me) asked for.
In DF season 4 you could just wait 6 weeks and dont play, log in and get 3 of the best ingame items in less than 3 hours cause of catch-up on bullions. Is that a good challenge? I think DF season 4 was the most boring ever, everyone just got the best gear for free. But i agree they could make must have items like spymaster get easier to get, maybe it should cost 180 gilded for a hc raid item…
M+ needs huge revamp in my opinion. The whole system is to punishing for no reason. I like how in FF14 and gw2 the instance content is much more chill and friendly.
Here is a list of things I’d like changed in M+
1st Remove the key depletion
2nd When the timer is failed don’t upgrade the key
3rd Make the not timed rewards the same ilvl as doing the key in time
4th Count all keys’s M+ score even those which are to much out of time
You gotta understand as well there’s A LOT of people who JUST wanna run M+ in WoW. I am one of those players. I do the absolutely minimum of quest, skip ALL cinematics, hell - I don’t know a thing about World Of Warcraft in general, because I don’t care. Imagine having a full time job and upon that a partner and two kids, and you just have under 10 hours a week to spend on the game - yeah, not so fun…
All I wanna do is login and start pushing myself. And having to farm bis gear week after week is simply not fun.
I’d argue that they just make a whole separated M+ server, like the time trials for MDI, where those is solely playing for “competition” plays, can get what gear they want etc and make it like an “official” m+ server where the rio counts etc etc. You get my drift.
And some kind of “MMR” like other games, so your score goes up and down and you get matched with players in your own skill level.
Also, I am one of those few that actually liked affixes like bolsterings, teeming, skittish, explosives etc. That’s what make M+ for me (Yeah, healers and tanks disagree )
Well i suggested 180 gilded for a bis item too, thats 2 weeks, i did 6 run in hc lately witout even seeing spymaster drop. But as it is now you can still log in and start pushing your self. I liked old affixes more too. But just free gear without barely playing i dont vote for.
I ran over 50 Ara Kara’s before I looted the Sacbrood so, yeah. I know. And I didn’t even loot it. It was given to me.
Getting gear is not a challenge for those whos skill is (way) above 8-10 keys (dungeon max gear, vault max gear), that’s my point. For those, farming gear is just an obstacle and based on luck.
A solution would be to keep keystones up to say level 10 on the “normal” server (all key levels that is related to some achievements stay on normal server -which I also feel sad for those who don’t wanna do M+ but want achievements and are forced into M± and make key levels above 10 (key that don’t give any benefits to 10 keys for completing except rio score) on a separate server. That way you got these that wanna learn, farm achievements, transmog on one server and the “competetive” players separate.
My point being that when you compete in something with others, no matter if gaming, sports or whatever, with point/ladder system everyone should be equal. No one should be passed over or be held back because they just had bad luck with loot.
The way I see M+ is that it’s a game within a game. The same way PvP, raiding and roleplaying are. World of Warcraft, in my eyes, is the “casual” playing. Doing quests, enjoying the lore, farming some transmogs/mounts and just enjoying the game.
I come from playing Starcraft - Starcraft: Brood War - Starcraft 2 for over 15 years, and in my eyes Mythic Plus is closer to Starcraft than Mythic Plus it is to “World of Warcraft”. M+ and World of Warcraft are two separate games to me. The competitive aspect of a game should not be interfering with the ‘regular’ game nor vice versa.
Of course it makes sense. Doesn’t matter if it’s being used it or not, we touched the subject of drop rate…?
EDIT: Huh, maybe I do. I just farmed Kara after Kara after Kara, and everyone that done that grind knows how easy it is to remember wrong/exaggerate runs/etc. Normal people get it. Harlans Trinket from Freehold was the same. It doesnt really matter, at all. I exaggerate, a lot maybe, big deal? I’ve never seen Sacbrood dropped for me personally on these 50 runs, so not completely out of line.
I honestly can’t believe that you’re getting hanged up on that. Understandable that you seem to be very disliked here on the forums based on a quick view on the responses you get from the majority. Recommend you go outside in the world and talk to people and work on your social skills, since apparently you spend most of you time here (15k posts since 2018!!! I mean… how…?)
EDIT #2: Had to inspect my Raider.io for trinks, and yeah - I ran with Sacbrood as adventurer/veteran gear. Didn’t think about that and I just took for granted we talked about heroic gear. Again, his subject about low drop rate still valid and what we discussed.
You use your exaggeration as the basis to justify changes to the game. So a faulty premise from the start. So yea, this made up problem that came from lies and exaggeration should be fixed as follows…
Yea, that tends to happen when I point out bs. And yes, I’ve averaged 7ish posts a day here over the last 6 years. Let me get the burn cream, you dun got me there.
I rub people up the wrong way. You create a narrative in your head so convincing you forget what reality is. We all have our faults!
You’ve had 3 sacbroods then. Adventurer, veteran (which upgrades to 619) and heroic which you got 9 weeks ago. 3 versions in 20 runs.
I’m not even denying some trinkets are rare and the method of acquisition can be better. I just can’t understand why lying is and outright BS is so common you’re more indignant about being called out on it that we all are about putting up with it.
Sure. I “lied”. I bet however most people who actually have some social experience knows exactly what I meant. When someone says “i ran 50 runs before I got it” it can mean anything from, yeah… 20 runs to 80 runs. See it as a synonym for “I’ve grinded my a** off for days/weeks”.
Again, social and conversations. You sit around with your buddies, and complain about the weather “it’s gotta be like 150 degrees out there!” when it’s in fact 90 degrees. Same thing, in my and people who can read between the lines.
Socially awkwards and people who have a hard time reading the room, people and between the lines usually point out and correct people, not seldom at just numbers. Makes them feel important or something I guess…
It has nothing to do with being socially awkward. We are discussing things on the forum and we take the things like how they are said. We do not see the non verbal communication. When you want to make a point, make the point the way it is. Or say something like 10 thousand runs. 50 runs is actually something doable so it sounds like you mean 50.
Even though we do, or most of us at least, it doesn’t mean anything when it comes to the subject of this topic. And exaggerating in discussions around systems and their issues, it really doesn’t help and it only helps in derailing the topic.
Fair enough. I will take this with me in the future, definitely. I can however assure you that if totalt runs/droprate Was the main subject I would have been very careful and detailed with the numbers but since we was just by-passing/touched the subject it wasn’t really important or something I really payed any real attention too.
I can also assure you that those 20 arakara runs sure felt way more than 50
Offcourse we need ilvl to progress in the game. (that was a part of the want/need discussion) But the problem is that people with different mentalities get into eachothers content. Some players do M+ in a casual way for fun, others do it for the vault rewards and the last groupe are the people that like to push the content and play for rating.
The group that does +10 mainly for the vault consists of many players who view it as a time-consuming chore. Among these players, there are also many who don’t enjoy +10 keys and find them somewhat challenging. This group is currently mixed with players who play +10 for the challenge and progression. I don’t think that’s a good mix. A +8 is much easier and requires lower itemlvl, so people don’t have to be as picky when they invite players for their groupe.
+8 = +95%
+10 = +136% with Fortified and Tyrannical
The vault could use an overhaul. Less slots, but all connected. It would be great if a player can fill all your slots in the way they want to play, without missing out. The loot should be from the loottable of the content a player did. In this way the vault is not a chore anymore.
This comment surprises me. I have mostly read that a large majority dislikes the affix (in both US and EU). The affix is one of the main reasons why people abandoned keys after the first wipe, alongside the +10 requirement for the Mythic vault. Many players doing +10 keys only aim for the vault reward but lack the will or skill to complete them properly. As a result, Blizzard had to ban or suspend players for poor behavior and i agree with the bans, but the root of the problem lies within the system itself.
That is true
The reason for it is very simple. It enlarges player mistakes. You can no longer blame another player (didn’t dispel, kill or stun the affix), just yourself for dying to the mechanics that exist below +7.
People seem to hate that.
I have been on +8 runs with 2 whole wipes and plus 3 deaths, and it was still timed, before the Challenger’s Peril was even nerfed.
It’s not really an issue.
Ask yourself, if Challenger’s Peril was replaced with Necrotic, OG Expolisve or Bolstering, would more keys be timed?
