oh i found there a new bug last night while leveling :slight_smile: before 1st boss spawns you can slip though the side of ship into its cargo hall and be trapped there untill 1st boss dies

we didnt see such brutal first season since S1 of SL - mostly because S1 of DF was offset by mythic gear and crests which were aviable to anyone.

Perhaps it’s time to scrap the idea of crests, and let people upgrade all the way to max using valorstones alone (This might need an increase in the amount of valorstones required per upgade), with the obtainable ilevel capped by the highest of raid progress, m+ rating, pvp rating?

This way people can simply farm 7s until they have reasonable gear, then try and go higher.

Alternatively, allow people to buy higher crests with lower crests, at a rate of say 3 to 1.

In both cases, remove the caps on what can be farmed.

This is actually close to what I suggested at one point, which was that killing a boss should give you either all items on its loot table or at least one non-duplicate guaranteed to each player.
Main reason I got shot down is because supposedly most players think progression means gearing up your character, not beating progressively harder challenges. They want it to last longer…and to be grind/time gated, but not skill gated.

After several xpacs I still don’t get why key depletion is even a thing. IMO it is the #1 reason toxicity exists in m+. The person who has the key gets penalized because they gave a pug a chance to join the group and then the pug decides to leave after 1 pull? What is Blizzard trying to solve by depleting keys at all? Leave it up to the player to decide if the m+ level is too difficult for them and downgrade the key if they see fit. I think the Delves system has it right. Torghast had it right. Let players do any m+ level they want so long as they’ve cleared the level prior = end of a great deal of drama and toxicity. Failing a key then requiring an additional ~30 minute investment minimum (plus time to form the group) just to get back to the same level of progress prior to being penalized is just crap.

i totally agree with that point. Deplete was intended to prevent player doing keys not on their level. There is the timer for that. There is no point to deplete a key when it’s starting

Same as many other decisions, it exists for one and one reason only. To keep you on the hamster wheel for as long as possible.

exactly, but when frustration level is too high, people leave game. And you loose money

it depends on the viewpoint. not everyone needs to play +10. there is plenty of other content.
if less people play beyond 10, well thats fine.
the affixes changed, so what ? i remember Shadowlands S1 with the most restrictive 10 affix ever and it was still fine.

challenge is what keeps the players going. of course only a few % will achieve 10 on all Dungeons, but that was the case for every past Season.

The low numbers seem to have had a very big effect on people.

I can understand this, psychologically it can feel bad to go from doing +22 to +9 and feeling +10 is a challenge, even if mathematically the +8 you timed was far harder than the +22 under the old system with better gear.

People like to see bigger numbers as it looks like growth.

WoW got more an more casual over the Years. its really easy to Gear up now. Yes, super Casuals wont get max Gear but they also wont in Mythic Raids so making M+ more difficult is the right call.

Dont forget that its the Hardcore Players and Challenge Enjoyers who keep the Game Popular.
If WoW looses all Skill required Content, then the bored Players will look for a different Challenge in another Game.

Why is LoL so Popular? Because it keeps the Players engaged due its competitivness.

Challenge Enjoyers can Push high keys like every season.
But whos run the game are the 95% who cant even play +10 dungeons.
Give them loot = they are happy = they play wow

Dont get it while people will force Blizzard to make the game for the 1%.
Even Liquid and Echo players say they tuned the content in the first weeks for them. Now they say nerf the raid to the ground challenge is over.

WoW is a game that thrives when there is more people doing an activity.

If most of the player-base is excluded from said challenge “some people” becomes the streamers and nobody else.

There needs to be a balance of course, your statement has merit 100%.

But in S3 of DF when +20s were easier only 40% of the playerbase made it to a +20. Today, less than 1% of the playerbase managed to time a single +10.

Its too much. From 40% to 0.95% … Why not some number in between ? Like 30% ?

thats not even this.

a lot of people realise that they would never clear old +20 if it wasnt for mythic gear form +8 and mythic crests from what +6 .

last brutal tier like this was S1 of SL - where if you messed pull boss with pride and bl ? your key was basicly dead at that point.

they are just not good enough. and this is aweful feeling after 4 years of much easier m+ .

blizzard should be just open at this point and admit they want m+ as purely e-sport not as cusual gameplay mode.

perfect strategy to lose milion o paying customers to cater top 0.1%

technicaly blizzard removed whole middle ground. atm peopel in mid have nothing to play for - they will have wexactly the same gear as someone like Tah whose whole gameplay is collecting herbs and ores because dvelves are basicly free gear for everyone and m+ are just way above 95 % of playerbase.

you want more internet points then they have pretending how cool you are ?

best raiders in the world - literlay top of top admit that even they dont know for whom this raid is tuned for - liek 60 people in the world top untill tis decimated with nerfs.

Good Gear right now is anything above 620 and you can get that from M+ 7 which is really not hard.
The Best Gear was always only for the Players who pushed themselves. Before M+ it was Mythic Raiding and just a few played that.
M+ was too easy in DF to get the best Gear. There was almost no Point in playing M Raid.
Adjusting difficulty of M+ will help M Raiding.
