If only Team America thought about checking the EU forums for a fix! 
My post was for @Yryadorne to demonstrate how to reproduce the bug using a typical example of how many people have their chat tabs set up.
So it wasnāt a suggestion on how you should set up your own tabs, though it is still a valid setup if you choose to follow it.
The bug is exactly what you encountered, that the channels are showing up even if you donāt select them and they auto rejoin upon login/zoning.

Confirmed, working, a solution for now.
Another day without a hotfix. Having to check settings every time is extremely annoying, especially if youāre toon hopping a lot.

Think they donāt care about us. Because we keep playing WoW. So this procast Blizzard has released and the lingering ones there were in overdrive. High on somthing, to seem happy about it. Because incredible that after they made the new Plum what ever. WOW is mest

Suggestion from the US forums solves the issue
Go into chat settings under channels and click on the red circle to the right that has the slash through it. Channel disappears. Do that for both Trade and Service Channel.
I tried it, logged out and back in and the channels donāt reappear 
NOT A FIX!
This makes you leave the channels in ALL chat windows. Which for most (almost everyone i would say) is not the wanted outcome. You still want to be able to access general and trade chat. But if you do this āfixā you opt out on these channels entirelyā¦

Not to be obtuse. But I find the way you replied in this post a bit undiscerning. First you say you donāt see the issue, although there were plenty of people describing the complete problem. Then later you admit it has been reported to the devs as a bug already.
Does that not say something about your lack of judgment a bit?
I usually believe that my image of moderaters and community admins. Is that of welcoming person and who wants to listen to player feedback.

Ofc you leave those channels in all chat windows. Personally I never want to see them so Iām relieved I can entirely remove them. You always have the option to join them again if you want. It DOES NOT REMOVE general chat unless you clicked on the red icon for that as well.
It feels like watching the Matrix code falling down, canāt even read a single message without getting spammed by 20 new multi-line posts. It is moving so fast by the time I freeze the scroll bar the messages at the top already get lost in the void.
I hate it that we constantly have to invent our own solutions to simple problems everyone is affected by. This thing in particular is such a simple and easy win in the eyes of players and is still going strong after several days.
For every download of the small addon that has been linked there are 10,000 other players with this problem who do not know how to exit chat let alone which directory to copy paste the newly downloaded folders into.
Triggered not only by a relog, but with each /reload ui command.
Yeah, and they didnt fix it after 3 days of report, that was like unplayible issue, like i want to trade, but even cant see group chat, raid chat, and only whispers channel, like i want to see trade channels but i want to choose where i see that
Itās simply incredible that the largest game corporation in the world canāt fix a chat bug in 3 days

For now you can use chat/settings/channels then click the little red circle with a line through it at the end of whatever channels you donāt want to see. It doesnāt reset when rebooting.
Thank you, I didnāt realise this was an option!
I reported the original issue in-game, so hopefully it will be fixed, but on my busy server the Services channel is scrolling by fast, with no sensible info for me (no, I donāt have or am willing to spend 100k/200k+ gold on a raid, thank you).
Fingers crossed Blizz can fix the chat bug soon!
