Why? Because that’s what customer care is all about.
Even if it’s Nvidia’s fault, I cannot imagine that Nvidia and Blizzard are not in talks about a solution for an entire 4 months now.
Now there is dead silence. We, the customers, have no idea what the current status is.
If you value your customers, you provide feedback every so often. Even if it’s only to say: Hey, we’re still on it!
Dead silence for months however, is a big no-no in customer care/support.
Saying it’s not a Blizzard problem is also wrong. Their product is impacted, hence it is also their problem. Even if they are not the ones that can fix it (maybe…).

Open Issues in Version 466.47 WHQL as of 18th May 2021
[World of Warcraft: Shadowlands]: Random flicker may occur in certain locations in the game [3206341]
Nothing new with the newest drivers. Let the disco-flicker be forever! Sigh.

Possible FIX:
Also Update your ‘‘optional updates’’, despite them seeming irrelevant for performance.
I have also texture flickering in some locations. I revert the driver to 457.51 and it fixed
Yes, thats a common workaround. Unfortunately this is not an option for many people, so please, get thix fixed finally. It has been over half a year now.
And here we go again… Another month, another new driver 466.63 WHQL

Any update Blizzard, anything?!?
There is a post from NVIDIA’s representative:

We have a fix in our next driver branch that addresses one of the issues that would result in random flicker.
The next driver branch means 470. In this branch Kepler architecture is going obsolete. So there will be no fix for cards older than 750/750 Ti.

Let’s hope it stays that way. I’ve installed the driver just now.
Keep us posted in case the issue persists.
Anyone tried new update that supposely fixed the flickering?
So far no flickering for me, but tomorrow is when the real test will happen, once I turn my PC on again.
EDIT: Can confirm from my end too. No flickering anymore
Now I really hope it stays that way…I am getting PTSD from it.
Tryed 471.11 with gtx 1080. Think its all good now. There is no flickering right now. But dunno about ray tracing.
Suffered from the flickering issue badly last few months with my GTX 1080 (switched from an i7 3770K to R5 5600X in the meantime, bud issue persisted even on completely fresh install of Win and WoW). Installed the 471.11 yesterday, tried WoW and no flickering. Today as well, so it really seems to be fixed. Hope it will last, it was really annoying to play with it.
I fixed this issue by restricting my frame rate to my refresh rate (75fps/75hz). Hopefully this helps others
Thank goodness for that - it made me feel dizzy

And it’s back.
Not everywhere, but today in Bastion I’m getting lightshow on bushes. Unbelievable.
Honestly, I’m getting some serious phobia from this and I feel it’s out there to get me now, WoW will never stop flickering for me xD
EDIT:
Flickering is entirely back for me. I’ve done no updates to Drivers, nothing. It just came randomly.
Every zone flickers again and makes the same problem like before.
What the heck is going on?
Apparently there are still reports on NVidia forums stating the problem DID NOT GO AWAY with latest driver update.
I just can’t believe this.
