Why is it a git gud issue? Explain that mind set. Its well known DH are insane this season even after nerfs. Enhance has been down a toilet for years. Why would i play enhance with 40 keybinds than play a demon hunter with 4 or 5 buttons, mega survivability, mobility and generally a lot less hassle. Ive even had people have a go at me for playing enhance in non rated Bgs as its such a disadvantage.
I dont want to be over powered i just want it to be fun and balanced.
I probably wouldnt enjoy it but i also dont enjoy dirt baths mainly due to the class i play. Frost DKs also suffer the same fate.
I was considering reroll from paladin to DH/BM or Rogue
but i can’t force myself because i just can’t enjoy game when i know everybody playing that one spec or class
I hate fotm exactly because of this that everyone even your grandpa is on that
so i rather play ret and i’m Brewmaster/WW enjoyer
The likely scenario here is that you’ll reroll and get your butt handed to you in the most embarrassing ways possible because its turns out its not quite that easy.
You are probably right but my odds of success will be higher.
I mean Dh can heal while doing damage, DK ands Enhance Shammys have to sacrifice that to heal. I am not saying every class should be the same just balanced and fair. Its a about fun rather than power.
Its just horrible, i will accept there will always be a meta but some classes feel like they are from Wrath and some classes feel modern and smooth. Classes should be balance to the point where skill matters over class. just now its about playing that meta class.
Combine that with a game thats bloated with addons and abilities i would feel so sorry for new players coming in.
Same goes for healers some are just unkillable and not every class has an MS but thats less of an issue since heale rpop is low anyway.
The problem here is not even the fear of homoginization, but that atm there are often just not enough trade-offs for classes.
For example why does a squishy, low mobility melee less dmg than someone with more mobility and way more tankyness? Utility also is rarely taken into account.
Ye they can. In theory. But the question is whetehr you iwll be able to execute it correctly. Or will you be again utterly destoryed because on Basic level its "git gud " issue.
I’m not a pvper but I know it all comes down to “Get the Enhancement Shaman!” Enhancement has always been a glass Cannon that’s the easiest to kill out of all the melee. Enhancement shaman burst is insane atm however you die before you get to use it. It’s obvious that Enhancement Shaman wasn’t thought about when it comes to pvp and they are having a great PVE expansion.
This is the issue with Blizzard designing Classes the same for pve and pvp. Even though spells scale different. Enhancement defensive wise is ok in PVE but not PVP, So what do they do? Ignore it.
Hence PVE enhancement happy and PVP ones unhappy.
Classes like Enhancement should get extra defensives just for pvp, never going to happen though.
That’s what I understand of it anyway as I said I don’t pvp. Enhancement is my main character 90% of the time though.
Play a different game if you want to play a good PvP game, like HotS, Overwatch, or CS2. WoW PvP has been an unbalanced mess for 19 years and it’s never going to change because Blizzard’s game philosophy around PvP is just broken.
PvP in WoW is not about skill. It’s about playing the spec that’s currently good and about ilvl.
Today I played 4 Battleground Blitz games, a few random BGs, and 6 rated arena matches because I want conquest for the PvP armor set for transmogs. I won all games except one arena match.
Did I win because I’m good or because I got carried? No, I hardly ever play PvP, I queued solo in BGs, and did the arena matches with some random new healer. I won all those matches today because I’m currently way ahead of the curve on ilvl from doing lots of M+20s and some mythic raid bosses every week this season. That’s it. And maybe retribution paladin is also tuned well currently - no idea, I don’t follow the PvP meta.
As long as PvP in WoW involves gear progression and specs that are tuned for PvE first, it’s not going to be good. Don’t invest your time in this game mode, it’s not worth it.
Because you enjoy the shaman and have been playing it for a long time. If you don’t enjoy it and end up feeling frustrated frequently, but want to keep doing PvP in the current meta, then trying one of the other classes is a good idea.
I mean, it’s a game, one that you pay for. Do what it takes to have a good time.
Not want to question your experience in the game, but have you seen what FOTM-spec does to Low-Tier spec?
Its allready not fun in PvE- higher-lvls… but PVP oh boy…
Its flat-out not fun. In modern days, it also feels like you can do even less against them.
Even if you love your class/spec. Who wants to get rofl-stomped over and over again?
