For Aprox 30 matches i experienced 100% lost rate. The problem is not even in losing, it’s about Alliance being absolutely DEMOLISHED by Horde.
I don’t even remember destroying one single Horde tower for all that time.
How’s that possible?
I use to live in BG’s during TBC , Wrath and partially Cata and MoP and never experienced something like this, that one fraction has such advantage like Horde over Alliance in Classic AV. It’s a literally a sh.t show…
Is this how Blizzard “Balance” thing these days?
Should i forget this weapon and move on? I mean to me it seems that chances are like getting a lottery.
I queued up for AV in IF and then started to fly to Southshore to get the quest for the spear. BG inv poped up on the way to the quest, i could accept it in the last 10 seconds of the bg inv timer. Then 5 seconds later the BG was already over and i had the quest completed… i joined the bg just seconds before the win
same here. I’m lifelong Horde. BG was always relatively even regarding win/ loss. All except AV.
I remember for my entire career on retail, from my first kill through to Bloodthirsty, and from my first BG right through to Conquoror that when Horde entered AV, you played to collect your 1 mark and that was that. Horde got massacred and kicked BACK out the way we came in every match. I hated AV. I hated it so much.
Yes you should pretty much forget about the weapon. You might be able to get a win during the upcoming AV weekend when Alliance actually win sometimes (the winrate is still abysmal but at least it’s above 1%) but other than that you have to get extremely lucky with your team. It also helps to queue late into the ranking week (so monday/tuesday) because there’s fewer Horde rankers then or at off hours because there’s fewer Alliance afkers then.
Well it can happen, my hunter alt got the quest done by getting in such a BG where a ranker took charge and led us to victory by rushing Drek, horde never knew what hit em.
He is frankly implying you are the problem.
That a lvl 51 grinding harpies while leeching honor is problematic when a large number of people do it. Combine that with the afk/bots and you have maybe between 20-30 active players facing maybe 30-35 active players
That is not an issue here, problem lies in the fact that Horde opposites are doing the same thing and still get the Grand prize ,while Alliance ones are screwed with “Blizzard balancing” things.
In other words , it is not an Alliance players fault, because for some reason people(not all) think that playing Horde will make their libido bigger among other reasons, which lead to huge fraction imbalance, which again lead to sh.t show we have now in AV …
Maybe…just maybe Blizzard could do theirs magic and “balance” quest requirement for Alliance lowbies, so they could enjoy the sweet prize like Horde one do, after all it is not intended to be near impossible to get it…
On the end i’m not even that much concerned because not getting weapon i desire, but what if…Blizzard moves this clearly and deliberately broken map to TBC?
Your perception of why alliance is losing AV is wrong.
Horde doesn’t have majority of the team composed of 51-59 characters. I think it’s pretty clear who wins when the 2 compositions engage.
^^^^^ he gets it.
Where did you get that information? AV is a part of the BG rotation for horde honor grind. AFK players are present on both sides, horde just doesn’t have lvl51 warriors pretending to be 60.
The only way to “balance” AV is to give AV a 51-59 bracket. Although, do that and 51-59 alliance will be experiencing eternal queues.
