maybe for some people, I prefer the path where I can feel my characters power increase and how encounters feel different the more gear you get, also in MoP it took me maybe 1-3 days of playing for my alts to be on the same level with my main thanks to PvP vendors so I don’t think that’s too much of a time investment even for the most casual/bad type of players.
While Legion did introduce a lot of negative things I still think class halls were amazing. I never once burnt out playing all my alts.
Now BFA has this crappy war campaign that is the exact same God damned questline on every character.
Pretty sure you misqouted. Im not the one who made that statement.
yeah it happens when you quote a quote
Sure, but I’d hope someone with 2000 posts would quote the actual person instead of making out to seem like I made that statement
I didn’t mind Legion, though the theme wasn’t my favourite.
I enjoyed the class hall lines I completed, still bummed out I never got round to the mage towers but hey ho.
Mythic was fun but I must admit ever since Legion I’ve been struggling to settle with a class.
I’ve been ping ponging all of BFA. Settled on my OG feral for awhile but still felt something was missing.
I need to get my Druid back on horde though -_-‘ miss my troll cat boi
Why I liked Legion:
Everything introduced has its pros and cons, but the pros outweighed the cons.
1- AP was bad and it was annoying to need to grind it for each spec. However, the artifact weapon system and the traits you get from your weapon made the class itself fun. The reason I hate BfA so much is that we lost so many traits after the artifact system retired.
2- I didn’t like that legiondaries were 100% rng with no player input deciding which legiondary you will get. However, they were fun to have and the content needed to get them were fun. I did emissaries and previous tier raids in normal and HC difficulty (assured me 1 guaranteed legiondary every 2 weeks).
3- Mythic+ is a fun feature in spite of the existence of raiderdotio.
4- The class campaigns were fun and felt unique for each class.
5- Karazhan
Thing with Legion is that it got better with every patch released imo. I liked Legion a lot even though the Burning Legion isn’t my favourite theme and I hated all the fel green after Tanaan.
Ok boomer !
Legion is where we finally did get a meaningful and challenging replacement for Mythic raiding.
CMs were the first step but after getting gold no need to go back.
After stepping down from raiding during Legion after raiding since Classic, i was happy to find my new home in M+ together with some old guildies from my SoO days.
Till this day we run M+ together on a weekly basis and enjoy it a lot having some challenging content to do.
Legion for me was also fun due to the class fantasy with the artifact weapons, the class mounts and just the overall story.
BFA is lacking in the class department but on the other aspects i care about it is doing fine so far.
AP Grind was fine, you dont HAVE to grind, but you can spend time getting stronger. i honestly didnt mind it at all. If you play high end then yeah you probably had to to a certain lvl wich doesnt really take that long.
Class design was already terrible, Legion didnt change that
World quests are fine honestly, you dont have to do it, but you can( ITS THE EXACT SAME THING AS DAILIES!) The Suramar Storyline was AWSOME the broken shore was complete trash.
I dont play DH so i dont know whats wrong with them apart from them being OP.
They did not butcher the lore, not exactly, its a case of imagination and pretending, you are the only paladin who has the ashbringer, all the other paladins are weaker then you, you are the leader of the order hall not everyone else who is there aswell.
All PVP gear can be found doing PVE Content and it has made PVP content more acsesable for PVE players Win Win
I never did a duel in durotar or Elwynn, i dont see why anyone would or why it has been killed
The Patch Scycle was awsome, a bit fast sometimes but yeah awsome The only thing that was absolutely horrible was the Legendaries, and not the legendaries on its own but the way you got them. it was a mess.
Granted but people had asked for an alternative advancement system, so what were they expecting.
That’s subjective and lots of people liked the design and especially the Artifact abilities. Same every expansion.
They are basically automatically obtained dailies, the way you grinded rep before. Like in MoP, the new darling expansion. Now that was a daily grind. You needed to grind dailies to access a new faction… to grind dailies.
My first daily hub would have been Argent Tournament and was not only gated behind a patches but also by dailies. I dont know how Isle of Quel Danas was gated too but server progress and so was Isle of Thunder (Yes in MoP, a shocker).
They introduced Demon Hunter. Full stop. I dont recall complaints when they were top of the pack.
If you played the legion end quests you’d see that the artifact weapons canonically belonged to a specific lore NPC. Players actions have always been irrelevant in lore.
Well can’t dispute that.
But it did (try to) bring some semblance of balance to classes and have them on an equal footing but players didn’t like a fair fight. The true intent of ‘PvPers’ shone through.
Pray tell.
By the way, “dailies” (the concept we know today) - were introduced in The Burning Crusade. And there form of repeatable quests in Vanilla. just modern system from Legion has more randomly generated ‘daily system’ whereas older system were much more limited with less amount of unique quests.
I love you for this sentence.
The attitude some people carry…, that people with a different taste than them are dumb, is a bit of a cavemen attitude though!
It was definitely a good expansion. Definitely better than bfa in pretty much every way.
It was not perfect, but the main difference with bfa for me was that even the grindy/unwanted things that were brought into the game had some fun it it, sure the ap grind was not that great, i would have liked if it was at least character wide, like, all 3 specs get ap, but the weapons itself were really cool.
Same thing for the legendary system, while it has problems it also added very fun things to your rotation.
M+ is great, lots of content, good content, extremely good transmogs, probably the best of any expansion, good raids, it was just a good expansion.
It’s just not the same for bfa.
Oh, and world quests are 100 times better than dailies.
When it happens, just kindly ask them to fix the quote(I have not checked if you did btw), and they likely will. Happened to me a few times too, and they’ve always fixed it so far at least.
From the person who can’t even quote right after 2k posts
What about lich king? He was and still and will ever be the most epic villain with story, the people who worked on him during wotlk should come back now!!!
The only thing Legion did wrong was putting back tiers in LFR, for the rest it was perfect.
I envy the ones that could play it on release, I had to wait till January to actually play it.
Not my fav expansion but there was alot to like about Legion. I loved the class order halls and class specific content. World quests were so much better then dailies. Artifact weapons felt so much more engaging then necklaces or cloaks (having a more powerful weapon? sensible…having a more powerful necklace? drag queen).
Also as a hunter Legion gave me Hati! Thank you Legion!!
