Something is wrong .. Difficulty wise

I never played Vanilla retail so I donno how hard its supposed to be. Anyway, the end game dungeons are much harder compared to lower lvls when its easy to get green mobs.

I did very few dungeons back in vanilla, but I do remember us marking mobs to be sheeped and sapped every time. Now, honestly every group I’ve been in hasn’t bothered to mark anything beyond the occasional skull and X for first and second, and it’s been fine.

It’ll take one bad heal/CCer in high level dungeons for it to be hell:D dw its still fair difficulty wise

While leveling, I pet-tanked the various SM wings, RFD, Uldaman, ZF, Maraudon, ST and at 60 even BRD including Emperor T.

Not sure if this was actually possible in vanilla (I didn’t play a Hunter back then, nor did I ever see a Hunter-pet tank a full Emperor-run) or if it’s just me being great at managing my pet and the healer (same healer in all runs) being exceptionally good at keeping it alive (I know he’s good, but I really didn’t expect our Emp. Thaurissian attempt to actually succeed.)

Maybe it’s the 1.12-ghost again…

In vanilla when I leveled my first druid I didn’t know what the stats did. So I just wore whatever had the most points on it. It was obviously mostly leather with agility and stamina. I liked moonfire, so I was balance specced.
And in dungeon I healed. Most dungeons were doable, despite being so clueless.

Regardless of 1.12 authenticity, it would be good if “end” game content got tuned to this patch to be a bit harder, even if it was a bit more boss health so boss kill times better matched 1.04 etc.

hunters using pets for tanking was not uncommon… maybe not normal, but it did happen. Same as Voidwalker tanking xP I did that in TBC even.

And even back in vanilla you had rogues, shamans, priests and warlocks tanking onyxia. So, anything was possible.

No lol, vanilla dungeons have ALWAYS been faceroll levels of easy. I healed them back in the day and the only way we’d wipe is if the tank overpulled like crazy.

Ah, nostalgia, the funny thing it does to the brain. If I had a quid for every thread claiming they nerfed the difficulty I’d be wealthy indeed.

That’s not even a close evidence. Is…just you.

Go watch Vanilla youtube videos, and see that basically, the dungeons difficulty are the same . Nothing has been “nerfed” …

Tabatha over at Dustwallow gives the mage a task to pick up a book from Scarlet Monastery and I can’t recall what level I use to leave that task till but I use to do it on my own. Same with the books from Scholomance which I did on my own. That was a little more tricky though. The only real advantage Classic has over the current game is the lack of scaling so you can over level and do tricker stuff later solo. Which is good for me as I only ever play solo.

Even if that’s true, nobody who believes in “#nochanges” is against Blizzard tuning the numbers in pve to make it an actual challenge again if modern players are such l33t pros compared to 15 years ago like you claim, because spamming frost bolt is like really really hard dude… wow mad skillz.

We didn’t wait 15 years for a NERFED CLASSIC.

What are u talkin about, I had about 120ms ping and never a disconnect. My FPS was the same as now. I never keyboard turned and had keybindings for everything. If anything changed about myseld is that I became older and slower.

The game is waaaaay easier in dungeons tbfh.

I’ve spent some time reading through threads this morning, I have a feeling the drop rate of world BoEs is higher.

All the dungeons I’ve been in have been cakewalks because people have correct specs, correct gear, and know what they’re doing. Mages sheep, people kill the right mob in each pack without marking, there are no random dots flying around, warriors know to tank.

Otherwise the game feels as it did back when I started, which was right after AQ40 opened.

It was, I did the same with a hunter guildie at times

10mbit per sec is more than enough play online games, especially warcraft.

When upgrading my broadband from 10 to 250 it was no difference in ms, it has always been 30-50

What to say…the world is bigger than just you.

They are easier but the damage values are the same as original 1.12? Interesting.

How do you see your FPS in Classig? I’m sure mine was way down yesterday evenig, but I could not see just how low.

To me, it feels exactly the same as Vanilla. If you’re comparing your experience to private servers, Classic has definitely the correct values in regards to mob health and damage, etc. Private servers would try to approximate those values, but they were never 100% correct. Other than that, I will say that it’s a fact that most people have simply just gotten better at the game.

Yeah dude, these changes are definitely just our imagination and just a result of “nostalgia”. Nothing to do with we’re playing the nerfed pre-expansion patch.

srsly how much more of these threads will there be? wow classic is an CASUAL mmo rpg, people loved it because it felt like a real mmoRPG not just a queue simulator Retail has become. Difficulty in 2019 standards is low, even then NAXX will be released we will see much larger clear rates then in original vanilla.
