Something is wrong .. Difficulty wise

Naxx will be cleaned fast just because ppl has had 15 years to study how to beat the content

If you had read any of the dozens of other threads about this, you’d know that it’s as a result of players being much better now. Many come from Retail where the use of abilities is much better documented. And even if you’re totally new, there are youtube videos, wikis, databases, and tons of sites to help you.

First time we did this content, Youtube didn’t even exist. There were video guides for /some/ raid bosses, but not all and certainly no character guides. Wowhead didn’t even exist, so you were left reading random comments on Thottbot trying to learn how to use your abilities.

In Vanilla, if you got together 5 random people, you could fairly expect at least one of them to be totally clueless about their class, and one having never done the instance or any instance, before.
In Classic, if you get together 5 random people, all will have done dungeons before, or at least understand the importance of working together in a group.
For example, I routinely see raid markers getting thrown up in 5 man content. In Vanilla nobody used raid markers in 5 mans. And more importantly, people know what the markers mean. When they see a skull they know to hit it. No way would that ever happen in Vanilla.

So far from the truth it hurts.

As for the rest of your post, that is only a small component of the difference, if you check the post 3 above yours and carefully read through the documented changes to dungeon / raids and importantly the tonnes of gear buffs both in quality and drop rates, then combine in the class / talent changes some documented in the above post and some not. This stage of the game is a lot easier on all fronts.

I don’t understand why they releasing content in phases as patches from 04-06 and saying “authentic vanilla/no changes”. Letting itemization from 1.12.1 BUT letting damages from last patch 1.12.1… the “damage” part disappoints me most.

you ain’t!

I think this was the raliest version they could get and as for leaving the dmg as it is. Blizzard don’t play WoW I’m telling you, they don’t know sh!t about this game except what streamers and social whatevers share with em. HEYYOO

you know I used em in Vanilla told em at the start of the dungeon to kill skull and then they knew. what world are you from, one without communication? HEYYOOO

I really wish I met more of these better players, pretty much everyone I meet is garbage. One would think this is a game for casuals or something.

damn lot of the changes past 1.2 are already in classic

'Cause we are better at managing the dungeons.

Honestly, I was a clicker(which wasn’t really a problem due to the GCD beings lower than my ability to move the mouse), but I am pretty sure I manage my character overall better than I did 13 years ago still, + the mechanics of the dungeons are almost nothing. 13 years have made this much more managable. Pretty sure many even ran around forgetting to add new spell ranks to their bars back then, and I was a hunter buying cheap pet food(didn’t realize the level requirement of the food mattered for a long time), so I probably also bought crap ammo/arrows. Tiny things like that can make a dungeon much more rough than it will be for most now.

What?

We used Skull as first target, X as second target, and Star/Moon as Sheep target. In vanilla. In TBC Square became Frost Trap target.

Why does this thread reappear like 3 times a day? People have said it hundreds of times already in responses. The patch is not the same as the classic release patch. We have buffed talent trees and some content has already been nerfed slightly. It also helps that players know basically everything about classic now and if they don’t they can look it up with far more information than back in the day.

Low level dungeons are suited to beginner players.

If you had 5 players in the group completely new to the vanilla experience and those dungeons, it would probably feel like a dungeon to them.

To us, it’s just low level content. I’ve always skipped low level dungeons except as Warrior because I wanted to practice tanking as early as possible.

They’re obviously rewarding, but they do actually take up quite a bit of time generally so they should be.

You are absolutely right in one respect.

I read about guilds clearing MC in 1.5 hours, back in the day our guild took 3 weeks to finally complete MC.

I am sure they will say ‘well we are better these days, know tactics, more skilled’, I say bullsh*it. They just made it much easier.

It was made easier in the sense of 1.12 itemisation and 16 debuff slots.

The main difference in time to kill is that and also your knowledge on how to summon Rag in a practical way to begin with.

Edit: If you knew 1 year ahead of time what you had to do to clear MC, would it still take as long?

Groups are wiping all the time in end game dungeons. As it should be.

Jesus I am tired of seeing the “but we played on a 200kb connection while clicking on a touchpad while stacking agility on our mages, of course it is easier now!” arguments.

Most of us did not have crappy connections on terrible computers. WoW did not launch in 1994, and the computer spec requirements of classic were low as hell.

Both Thottbot and Elitist Jerks were available in the Vanilla era, and believe it or not, key bindings were not miraculously discovered in Wotlk.

Vanilla raids did not require skill the same way that retail does. It requires you to slowly farm gear, as most fights turned into gear checks.

The current content is easier due to the patch we have started on, it is as simple as that. We are now able to farm pre bis in dungeons much faster than we did 15 years ago, and imo it is a huge issue.

It feels like a lot of the people arguing against these threads were preteens during Vanilla and playing on the family laptop.

Fights are not gear checks lol

The argument is very legit for both the connection and stacking bad stats + macros or bind key’s was NOT a thing back then.

Watch his connection ping. Right in the middle ( Up…up ), and how he’s clicking abilities which are not 1,2,3,4 on the keyboard!

I said it many time, that yes, we DID got better with time. I mean, if you didn’t, well … then you are not a gamer!
