You too. The word you’re looking for is “prejudism”, not racism. If somebody were treating you differently because of your Spanish chat, it would be discrimination.
So - I’m Slovak - when do I get Slovak/Czech realm? Hm?
For me it is also much comfortable to speak in my native language.
But I’m playing it in English for many years.
So your whinny comment makes no sense. Doesn’t matter how big your community is.
There are also many people from Poland - and they also won’t get their own dedicated realm.

Swedes speak English on English servers? Have you been to Gehennas. It’s 80% Swedish in general and other channels. If anybody says anything they will respond back in English saying “This is a Swedish server, speak Swedish”, but besides randomly dropping some American expressions to try to sound cool they speak exclusively Swedish.

Keep in mind though that the use of the word “racism” differs greatly from language to language.
In German “Rassismus” is commonly used to describe discrimination against any person from a different country, no matter the country, so being discriminatory against Spanish or even Polish people would still be considered being racist here.

Don’t think i’ve ever done that. The closest i come is not inviting people with cyrillic? (russian) names or whatever, but its purely because i enjoy the social aspect and like a good chat.
You said you speak english in game. Then theres no issue there. You’re all good. Maybe try and encourage your spanish friends to do the same, and there would be less animosity towards them. Personally I didn’t even care. But trying to enjoy the game on my day off, and seeing the whole chat in espagboll is really off putting. I don’t want to waste all my time building my character to find out i’ve actually rolled on a foreign server.
Again, people that fit in are fine. The select few that are beyond rude and refuse to make the slightest effort, should be punished IMO. It’s not selfish to expect people to fit in. It is selfish though, to not even attempt to.

it’s not racist to complain about people speaking a foreign (to english) language en masse on an english speaking realm. I doubt the Germans would like it if the Spanish invaded their realm and did the same. It’s disruptive,… period!

Though we understand the Spanish situation is far from ideal for them I would argue that their behaviour is unnecessarily disruptive and rude to their fellow players (who do not understand Spanish).
Personally I hope you get your own server if the Spanish community is big enough to warrant one (nobody wants a dead server), but the complaints about the Spanish invasion are valid and it’s the Spanish lack of caring that is the issue here. I would suggest (and this is not the first time it’s been suggested) that all the spanish speakers would create their own chat channel ( /join Mundo) in which they can conduct their business. This way they will be less disruptive to the playerbase that wants to play in the language the server is aimed for and the Spanish will be able to have their little Spanish community!
This is of course far from perfect, but at least you will be less of a nuisance to each other. At the same time keep asking for a Spanish realm, because nobody here would denie you that privilege!
But in the meantime, try to organise everyone to join that “Mundo” channel and prompt whoever still speaks Spanish in the general chat to join the Mundo channel by whispering them. Spread the word and it will work out, but you need to take responsibility as a community…

TBH not inviting names with cyrillic has been my own habit as well.
I have even tested this:
- Players with cyrillic names come and go after 2-5 seconds after joining 100% of the time. (Realmhopping)
- Players with latin names always stay for the LFG objective.
Its not “racism” its simple observation.

You understand fully why that annoys the living hell out of people though? My server is mostly Danish, but my chat channels are flooded with Spanish and not Danish. Those Danes tend to speak English.
Still, hopefully the war between your stubborn kinsmen and everybody else will escalate enough for Blizzard to take notice.

Some playerbases depending on nation have a stereotypical type of behaviour.
For instance, Russians tend to be either very polite and quiet or VERY RUDE and toxic. Theres never a middle ground.
I used to interact with a few russians they were very polite, but most of them are impossible to communicate with.
This sealed the deal with me when i got a free transfer to the Russian realm. The realm was beyond rude and disrespectful to one another I just left after one month playing in it. I regret taking the free transfers.
Is it really racist to want to have a good time with good quality players though?

I dont know what you have missed, but I am a Russian who has lived for over a decade in Russia and I am not a man.
So yeah I have pretty much a say in this, thank you very much.
Im spanish (unfortunately). And what i saw in these past days, is a bunch of kids raging agaisnt a big corporation because they dont give them a little box to get in and close it.
They want a server only for them, but they know, because they know, spain have a ridiculous number of players compared to france or germany.
Even if blizzard migrate every spanish player into a single realm in retail, we wont full a server, maybe medium. But they still want a realm for classic.
What about queues? What about facctions? Do you see how spanish realms are?

Forget to have a spanish server. They wont give you it because; first, you are not enought to fill a server, and second; blizzard dont know how to manage a game.
Blizzard. Make a 50/50 realms and close them after reach the limit players. Force us to play (clans together as posible ofc) where you need people to fill a realm.
End of story.
