Honestly not one, not even one single player will be “suprised” by this sudden plottwist which will turn the whole Horde against her out of freaking nowhere.
I mean raising their death in Lordaeron? It is exactly how it feels to be a Night Elf Fan. Seems both races got screwed in the end. Worry not, though. both Factions are already screwed and many, many races are yet to follow our prime example of getting screwed over from left and right, front and center.
+1 man, +1… Even now, It is one of my favorite franchises. It still tops the Elder Scrolls for me, but it ranks below Lord of the Rings… But hell, when it comes to the story Narnia even outranks WoW at the moment… But I love its wishywashy High-fantasy tropes! D:

Flip off, we both know; Both factions have good grounds to complain and we both know both Forsaken AND Night Elven players have even more grounds to complain about!
Yea, Humans(Anduin and Jaina taking all of their spotlights) and Orcs(Thrall and Saurfang being the only ones left showing as their examples) got it bad with their whole story; but thus far Blizzard hasn’t even been able to lay out a proper frecking story as to why the Forsaken nor the Kaldorei joined either the Horde or Alliance in the first place and for both races it has been only downhill. Yea the Forsaken got alot of increases(tropp-wise) at the expanse of their “cursed existence”-trope… And for the Kaldorei it has been at the expense of their “a proper 3 or 4th faction because of reasons”-trope.
So yea, you either are being willfully ignorant as most races got a elune-damn reason to join either factions; both the Forsaken and the Night Elves got some weak-behind, made up- reason to join either side because Blizzard couldn’t be @ssed to make up a proper reason because small-indie company and who the feck actually cares.
And because of that; in the end, both factions suffer from it. The Horde is stuck with mustache-twirling Undead, because Sylvanas demands it, and the Alliance is stuck because the Night Elf are supposed to be a elunedamn savage race who wouldn’t bat their eyes freaking twice about sacrificing an enemies’ head to their moon-Goddess except they suddenly did because Human potential.
And failing, having her look akin to a freaking Tit(heh)anic Watcher instead.
Its a fail, and a big one, on their part and I might freaking hope they make her look more like a proper Forsaken instead of a near-perfect Frankenstein’s-monster or Tit(heh)anic Watcher.
You might want to race-change your chars already then, because everyone here knows she will become Queen Calia Menethil, the blessed, the rightious one, the Queen of the Forsaken because everyone serves the Light in the end

They could have made her gaunt cheek a little more pronounced and made her eye sockets darker, agreed, but ultimately a dead body will look quite pale. She was killed and risen in a fairly short window of time as well, so it makes sense there’s no visible decomposition.
Nah, I’m making fun of an extremely common type of person I met during my time in the Night Elf community.

As of Chronicles 3 we know that the Undead made contact with the Alliance, but none of Sylvanas’ ambassadors returned. She needed allies and turned to the Horde, where the Tauren vouched for her (and hoped for some kind of spiritual redemption for them) where Thrall had objected to it.
Dwarves are somehow the only exception to the rules because Blizzard keeps adding to them and forget the exist afterwards…
Yea Ironforge Airfield burned; but they got the Gnomeregan Airfield and the Dark Irons as a compensation.
Surely the combined might of the 3 Dwarvish Clans and Gnomish Army/Navy/Airforce will be forgotten again next expansion…
Or be randomly decimated akin to the Night Elves because of reasons!
Most raised Forsaken went from Humans to decomposing bodies in a matter of seconds. Which wouldn’t be weird due to the necromantic magics used for raising a dead body(living farmers of Andorhol like to say “hey”, alongside any other just deceased but look exactly like forsaken in the many Questlines in WoW)
So basicly that makes your Ingame and forum character the same, a Troll? Thriving on other peoples suffering even if said people feel that not only their preffered race or faction suffer due to the bad story telling?
And we all know emotions or intentions don’t cross over internet forums, yet you felt the distinct urgue to try it because you’re special or what?

Yea, those Taurens were from the Grimtotem Tribe, which wasn’t really know for their peace-loving ways. And ofcourse their are the writers who never actually hooked to that angle and rather abondened it because the forsaken are pure evil for some reason… So yea, maybe not the best point you’re trying to make
They just played Calia’s voice lines on the Twitch stream. Yeah, I can already tell that her “wise and motherly” character is going to grate on me.
Her lines include:

I’ve spent since the new models were added to the WoWHead Dressing Room checking out them.
I’m still at it and it’s not ceasing to entertain me yet. Except the fact that, now, I have a billion new character concepts flowing into my head thanks to the awesome variety of these new models.

Damnit I admit, I was wrong on this; last time I read into the Forsaken lore; it was Magatha Grimtotem and her Tribe which got the Forsaken into the Horde by way of the Tauren as a whole(in Vanilla, the Grimtotem Tribe were still “loyal” to the Bloodhoof Dynasty of High-Chieftains)!
Well it was never confirmed that either Stormwind or the wilds took care of the Forsaken Ambassadors Sylvanas send to humanity… So no; it was never confirmed if they made contact with the Alliance or not, with the information we currently have in our Gods-eye view of the game world!

Sylvanas attempted to make contact with the Alliance but her ambassadors never returned. At least, as of Chronicles.
But Nathanos later confirms that the humans killed the Forsaken after they split from the Scourge either way. It’s on the boat.
Nathanos Blightcaller says: When the Lich King’s hold over us was broken, Sylvanas sought allies. Instead of embracing their fallen kin of Lordaeron, the humans spurned us. Hunted us. So I vowed to hunt them.
