See that I get, and can agree with being an issue.
I mean, honestly I’m expecting her to be a goodie and the new leader of the Forsaken, but here’s hoping.
Also I can’t find it in me to be excited for Wrathion after they dunked on his core driving motivations. Who cares at this point.

Calia shouldn’t have died in before the storm and after seeing how willing sylv is to kill her own people she should be massively bellicose towards her.

Yes, this is what I’m assuming as well as she didn’t care for the Horde nor the Alliance, and only cared for her people (the Forsaken) above all else, so her replacing Sylvanas wouldn’t surprise me that much tbh.
Big problem with that is that she’s besties with Anduin.
She can say what she likes about not caring about the Alliance (just like Valeera) but as long as she’s bum buddies with the High King it’s bull. She’d be an Alliance leader running a Horde faction, and we’ve already got Baine for that.

It’s okay, Anduin’s totally-not-white-saviour-and-culture-erasing “Everyone actually follows the Light they just don’t know it” statements means that Baine IS a Light worshipper, he’s just too much of an ignorant savage to properly recognise it.

Ah, the changing of the seasons. Seems only yesterday “deaf night rp” swarmed the major cities rather than fight the Scourge. Innocent times really.
That is actually something I like with the new worgen models. The females are less “top heavy” and curvy. Still a far cry from the males in terms of mass and distribution, but an improvement.
My biggest issue with the worgen is the fingers. Human form has 5 fingers, worgen form has 4.

- Female Worgen look absolutely horrible, catering to Fursona rejects
- Male Worgen look fine, hopefully the casting animations get replaced
- Calia Menethil is on par with Lightforged Nathrezim and Me’dan, I just hope Afrasiabi or someone else will reign Golden in before she further digs her claws into the setting and treat the lore as her little dollhouse-
Oh wait, she’s helping retconning the lore of Warcraft 3, nevermind - Durotar warfront might actually end up fun if its not some loyalist vs rebels dungheap, but we all know better

why can’t we be in an alternate timeline where warhammer fantasy became the big hit and not warcraft
Although the warfront can be the silver lining if some leaks were right about the story:
- Sylvanas buggers off to do her redemption arc
- Peace summit infront of Orgrimmar as the Warchief is gone and her supporters vanished with her, leaving Baine and whoever else to take leadership
- summit turns into bloodshed as hardliners like Genn, Tyrande, FemThrall and whoever else lose control and kill some of the present Justice League members like Thrall, Jaina’s mom, Talanji, Calia and whoever else that needs to be pruned from the currently bloated roster of bad lore NPCs
- warfront is basically loyalists and former rebels fending off a vengeful Alliance while Anduin is crying his eyes out in the background asking everyone to stop because the Big Bad wants this

There’s something eerily creepy about Calia’s model. Mainly how her clothing is so pale it almost looks like it’s her skin. And that expression …

Actually, why the Forsaken joined the Horde, instead of Alliance was fleshed out, first ingame and later in the Chronicles book.

No it’s not, she was raised differently and she was only shot with a arrow once, she didn’t get cut up, buried, beat up or risen by a subpar Necromancer, she got risen through the Holy Light of Life (why they didn’t just use ressurection though is beyond me, Anduin rose Varian from the death too, afterall).
Also, I like it, she looks creepy and as said before marble like. Pretty spooky for something that “appears” alive.

Which humans hunted them? There where no Stormwindian forces in Lordaeron at the time, however the survivors of Lordaeron, Gilneas, Alterac, Stromgarde and Dalaran where hostile against all undeath.
The only undead that wasn’t mistrusted was Leonid Bartholomew the Revered.
She’s a goody trying to keep a morally bankrupt and naturally inclined evil race under her control
Illegally a large part of the Forsaken army, and RAS, will keep pushing the boundaries forcing Calia into, a hopefully, civil war where they can grab control from here.
Calia however, is more popular with the general citizenry, who just want to live their lives in “peace” away from Horde and human society.
Agreed here, her death was so stupid and anoying.
She only “cared” for her undeath people after it became a chance her husband and daughter might be among them.
Before that she happily lived in Southshore, among the living humans, pretending she isn’t the Royal Heiress and not caring for her undeath people.
Maybe because she didnt want to be found.

Just me or the model feels very incomplete. Not the erect ponytail but it’s almost as if her armour got a fresh coat weird red. No textures just flat colour applied to the mesh
