“Say the words of our house.”

“Cogs and oil.”

“Cogs are coming.”

Rommath 2.0, basicly.

Oculeth has done more in his one expansion of presence than Rommath has done in his entire life.

If they provide for themselves and are genuinely willing to serve the Horde, there’s no risk involved in accepting them.

At the worst they will be of little to no use and nothing will have changed, at best their skill set will strengthen the Horde in one way or another. Either way, it’s a fairly harmless gamble with a potential jackpot involved.

you take that back or i will riot

Rommath deserves a statue

Rommath exists in a perpetual state of Correctness. It’s very tiring being always right.

Tell you what, if Rommath takes off his LA street gang face rag then he can get a statue.

Can’t do that boss, need to be repin’ them bloods

So far, every recruitment scenario for the Horde has ended with the racial leader of the allied race talking with Sylvanas, so I imagine that the same will happen with the vulpera.

I already listed what they bring to the Horde above. All of those allied races have far greater military value than the vulpera.

I still believe that the vulpera come across as rather lacklustre compared to every other allied race we’ve seen so far. ‘Good guerrilla fighters and survivalists’ isn’t an exciting niche, compared to the likes of ‘masters of space, time and magic,’ ‘dinosaur tamers who fight beside their gods’ and ‘gargantuan beastmen blessed by a demigod.’

I’m not saying that they’re dead weight or that the Horde will suffer for taking them on, they’re still a net positive for the Horde. The vulpera just seem a little underwhelming compared to almost every other allied race.

nothing wrong with being wu-tang ic???

The Fact that there is such a big hype train for the race proves this wrong, sometimes the most down to Azeroth concepts are better.

I’d argue that the excitement is more over them being cute little fox-people, their aesthetics rather than their lore.

I think overall vulpera represent the concept of allied race really well. An useful ally, but not necessarily a race that is a “existing race but objectively a better variant”

As a huge fan of the vulpera, I can tell you right now I was excited for them because they’re fierce little fighters and their lore. It’s exciting and new frankly, and even if they didn’t look the way they did, I’d be invested in them and want to play them.

The Excitement is over kicking the Alliance infidel out of Vol’dun!

Fully suspect this comment isn’t going to go down well.

In this day of political correctness, a senior leader of the Blood Elven people can’t be seen to be reppin’ one coast over the other.

Fair enough. Not super thrilled for them to join The Horde! either if I am being entirely honest, but I can see why some players might find them cool to play.

I can accept that sort of answer. It just doesn’t match up to the other allied races that we’ve seen so far.

We’re going to have to agree to disagree, because I suspect that if they were, let’s say, pygmies instead of cute little fox-people, opinions about the vulpera would have developed a lot differently.

Pygmies are like. uber racist so. i mean. yeah. that’s not a galaxy brain conclusion to come to :grimacing:

Mostly agreed with you to be honest.

Vulpera were a hard sell for me given what they were presented as originally, cute fox people weren’t really my style. But the fierce Vulpera defenders here on our own Argent Dawn forums have turned me into a believer by explaining what about their culture makes them so interesting.
