Stockholders dont like classic

I guess stock owners were cheering when classic launched, but they realised we are not microtransaction puppies. One retailer buying a mount equals like 4 subscribers to wow. Guess they telling blizzard not to pay attention to our community. I didnt hear blizz praise classic community in blizzcon either.

Blizz knew things like pre tbc av, nerfed mc, dire maul loot this early would make people pissed and ”hopefully” go into retail.
But i promised myself im unsubbing the same day shadowlands is out, im paying too support classic, not for you too increase resource to retail.

Remember people, game developers are slaves to stock holders these days.
Today, the company is called activision.

Classic is a publicity for Retail  :

“See how bad the game is, see how easy the raid are, see how many exploit and flawless mechanic there is, see how the gameplay is slow, see how everything can turn in chaos if we don’t spend time to control everything”

“Now, we have Retail, the modern version, full clean, there’s no exploit, everything is well controlled and balanced by a great developper team. 8.3 is coming with a new raid, you can kill N’Zoth for the first time of the WoW history, gameplay is smooth and nervous, raid are hard, there’s competitive mythic + and world first race, and next Shadowlands with total revamp of the game will come”.

You know im right, the spirit told me

Don’t worry. Most classic players already wait for the next private server. We will be able to experience real classic again soon enough. This sh*t was created for streamers to bring attention to the dieing cashcow. Hope it will backfire when Blizzard realizes we won’t go back to the big itemshop and return to private servers instead.

This is not just games. All companies in the world are slaves to stock holders. Companies are doing bad decisions every day just to impress stock holders who do not really understand the industry and they only rely on management ensuring them they keep changing things to earn more money which in return guarantees their position in the company. In the end we have plenty of companies with crappy products and millions angry customers, but we have happy rich CEOs that cannot be fired and many fooled stock holders…

That is delusional.

This forum is so toxic. We finally have a version of Vanilla that is not run by corrupt owners and with zero risk of the servers shutting down out of the blue.

Is it perfect? No.
I am still having a blast and looking forward to the next phases of content, and hopefully someday TBC.

If you leave Classic you will only prove Blizzard right. The only way for us to receive any attention and support is by sticking to it.

I am actually waiting for WoW 2 for several years now  But it looks like they will keep milking this game forever…

It has become too huge for me. Too many levels, zones, spells, classes…

Has Blizzard ever mentioned their retail plans? I.e. how many expansions there will be? Or will they simply keep going as long as people are willing to pay for it…

LOL ye maybe people that came from Pirate Servers. Me and around 70 guild members would not go play no private crap. Would rather stop playing totally.

Dont take me wrong, but i play wow retail since MoP and i have not bought single item from their shop. Once i bought character customization/ race change, biggest mistake.

12,99 EUR / month is enough
and some fancy items, who cares, in the end, its all just ones and zeroes.

But there is length to subs. Sure retailer might buy that mount, but you have to understand that retailers are not that invested into game and they are more likely to unsub from the game. What means, is that one mount worth of losing players who stay subbed for year? I don’t think they are now making more or even same amount money with mounts, that they were making in Cata with subs.

I dont think their stockholders really care nor understand what they’re paying they just expect income and when half the classic players are funding both games it likely has increased their income which would make them happy.

why would they release TBC AV into Classic?.. it wouldnt be classic, we as a Playerbase demanded no changes… so ofcourse they werent going to implement things Later expansions fixed… this is like saying why not reliese flying from TBC into Classic… ofcourse this wasnt going to happen…

this part is Shadey, as it being stuck in time… would mean this raids were forever so i dont know why players needed the nerfed version… not that i think it’d of made much difference either way…

they didnt make him… the fact is, WoW Classic is Nostalgia, and the funny thing about Nostalgia, it Loses its Nostalgia once u can replay it… so yes as players continously play WoW Classic, the more normalised its existance is… therefore loses its Nostalgia… which was a big drive to the hype of its return to begin with.

think about this seriously.

your Paying to playt a game FROZEN in time… with 0 Development or New content, but a Recreation of Content that already was created in the base game… this would be like saying “im paying to revert to MoP” your not. because it doesnt cost the company anything to relaunch it.

they just have to Delete Content til MoP is the latest content… the same thing with WoW Classic.

WoW Classic likely costs next to nothing to run…and it was never going to… its a Frozen game which is just going to release everything classic had and be stuck there.

Most private servers Did not deliever the real classic feeling, Most of them actually admit to tweaking the game themselves to increase difficulty and more to keep content replayable… so no they’re Not actually classic, thjeir a recreation of Classic. this is whjere they went right, they MADE CHANGES… to keep the “Vanilla experience”.

you cant Experience the identical thing twice with the same level of enjoyment, its not possible realistically… this is like trying to be just as excited in your New house every day for the rest of your life… the moment something normalises its Less Exciting. and thats exactly whats happened in WoW CLassic.

the problem is #no changes.

with AV being released as It was, and the content coming out faster and more… its Driven the game into a frenzy. Everyone knows everything… and Everythings already theorycrafted BiS Lists are already established. talent choices are already known.

this has built a world where EVERYONE is obeying the optimisation. and no ones being creative… so its not the “true vanilla expereince” but it was always impossible to create it for players who’ve already done it.

Then when that one dies after 6 months we can move to another! Hell yeeeeeaaahhhhh!

Because MMO sequels are successful. EQ2, AC2, GW2, all worse then their prequels, two of them dead.

Doubt it tbh. Classic is extra income, if they’d shut it down, those players wouldn’t go to retail and start buying store mounts, they’d just quit again.
