I’d like to do the same thing. But I suppose that I haven’t choice. Game industry doesn’t provide alternative games and even the ugly retail is the best game now. Have no idea what to do in real life… So, probably I’ll continue to become silly.
What about classic… I wasn’t in raids here, but dundeons are interesting enough. I love slow and peaceful classic gameplay, but I’m the only one who likes it. Other classic players are retail-like runners, so I was forced to choose between solo playing and their game style. But classic is MMO, so I’d chosen retail, because you don’t have commitments here and will never meet somebody again.
and result is, make retail more like classic and subs will rise.
Nobody likes Classic. People who thinks Classic will be big and popular is delusional.

They do and they don’t. Vanilla has been done over and over again that there is no accurate depiction because we know everything that will happen.
Does not matter to Anyone from my guild as we not played on any private servers. Why would we want to play game on 2004 DX9 engine that runs on 1 core and in raids u get 15fps on 8 core 5ghz cpus.
Not a single person in OUR guild would like to play Vanilla we had that discussion last MC raid on discord.
Classic is basically remastered vanilla.
But most of us are waiting for TBC servers tbh that was best time of wow. Half of players in guild quit in MoP or Cata.
somehow Everyone feels hes got something to do in Classic besides weekly raid clear.

You get a clean 60 fps even on battles of 200vs 200 players and guess what ? No lag. Thats right you can fight massive battles without 30 second delay on spell casts. Cant say the same about classic. Classic is a downgrade to vanilla, no progressive itemization, gear from p5 that is out now, multiple bugs in raids and bgs, bugs to classes, bugs in the lvling, etc…
But the game looks dogshiet by todays standard.
Bet You nto had chance to play Wow on Vr helmet or 3D. Damn wow looks great in 3D.
For You for my guild no. 5 of my IRL mates rolled on private server like May and after a week they said they cant look at this crap graphic again.
Not when You got machines that can run rendering while gaming.
Personally I could use some tweek to draw distance of ground cluster stuff like grass cause seeing it being drawn 3 meters in front looks so horrible i turned it down to not actually see it drawing lol

Well you just said my whole guild got stupid people playing it. All of us playet since classic damn i got 500 days played or so on retail. On classic got like 40atm or something.

Legally speaking you agreed that you pay for access to the login servers of both Retail and Classic and nothing more, this is defined in the user end license agreement.
Also besides expansion of performance which really is not the most expensive thing, what are they supposed to spend the money on? I don’t know, but I know one thing, they don’t care about your reason you paid them, some of that money is going to maintain Classic, some of it is going to pay a developer to do things for retail, some of it is going to be used to pay for the production of other games and features entirely.
They stand within full right to that again because you clicked ‘I agree’ to the UELA, obviously that was a smart move on their end.
Well have You played Wow in 3D or VR ?? Looks amazing on my oculus rift not playable but walking around world is epic.
I did play Retail since MoP or so in 3D. If my monitor not packed up still would have nowhere near as good on 4k

Blizzards offers what private server will NEVER be able to offer : THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHARACTERS.
Nothing else matters. Sure, there is tons more than Blizzard is offering (server stability, maintenance, fixes, updates, etc.) but those just add up. Not to mention the gold selling, gear selling, and other shady crap that WILL exist on a private server.
Also, the impending C&D that can drop at ANY moment.
A private server can deliver the BEST Vanilla experience…it won’t matter at all. Players are people, and people like and thrive in a STABLE environment.
I can play my Classic character as long as Blizzard exists, and by the look of it, it will exist for A VERY LONG TIME.
I am sorry, but private servers died on August 26th, 2019. And they will stay dead.
