No people aren’t
Whenever I see gs I just assume retard. Funny thing is, it’s often true. Told some dude that I don’t care about gs and if he cares all that much to check logs and the reply I got was:
“But what if you have 99 logs and 1200 dps?” … retard cofirmed
Yeah sure you did
Pre raid BIS puts you at around 3600 GS. Besides achievement runs I never see Naxx pugs asking for more. They usually ask for 3500+ on my server.
People asking for super high GS for normal runs are usually awful at the game so you’re better off not joining them anyways.
At the end of the day it’s clear that the people complaining about such things don’t care about whether a player is good or bad.
The fact that they constantly lie to make their case means that it’s simply fantasy, some long running issue they have with any sort of judgement from peers.
But guys I really couldn’t care less how much of a bully victim you were, it’s a simple tool that works even with only 1 person using it.
Not really worth doing RFC nowdays, Leveling too fast and since heirlooms are ilvl 1, GS can’t really be trusted at that level.
heirlooms give high GS so yes they can be trusted. imagine grouping up with nonloomers
GS and Logs make me cringe.
Oh look, the typical narcissistic gatekeeper.
If you believe these numbers are indisputable evidence of how “good” players are - you should get some self-awareness because that if anything makes you trash. Because,
-
All Gearscore did was give players who don’t know how to gear properly a number to hide behind. People want to boil everything down to a meta and numbers, which just allows people who know how to use google but never developed skill to fly under the radar.
-
Even at finest level of class/spec/ilvl/wbuff detail, it still doesn’t take raid comp into consideration and ignores everything but DPS. No one is “doing better” than anyone else according to parses, they are only cheesing the content at varying levels.
if yourse so good then why are you looking for a pug raid
Gearscore only favours hunters because every hunter is literally gearscore 4250+ cause no one but them needs all that loot. True story.
When I get whispers from players with their gearscore to join my 5-man HC, I troll them by asking them “what is GS?” “what is gearscore?” “what is 4200?” they proceed to explain, then I politely decline them saying, sorry I don’t have that addon, good luck see you lol
GS is hilarious and pathetic.
I really don’t know or care how the addon works honestly.
If you want to gate keep your groups even at low level, Then do that, But it really does not matter.
Also i am never going to be the ”Leader” or recruiter of raid groups, So i still don’t care for the addon much.
For 5 man’s i just invite whoever, They are easy enough.
Oh look, a crybaby posting on an alt cause he’s afraid to show his grey logs.
All gearscore does is give you a general idea of somebody’s gear, high number = generally better gear, so you don’t waste your time looking up logs of ppl with blues.
If you can’t play your class or you’re wearing shait (but high ilvl) gear, you’re not going to fly under the radar buddy, logs will reveal how bad you are.
Spoken like a true grey parser, except the raid comp part, idk what that has to do with this topic. Obviously GS doesn’t take raid comp into consideration like lmfao what are you talking about?
gatekeeping this, gatekeeping that, have you ever thought maybe you’re just bad and ppl don’t want to take bad ppl with them? it’s not gatekeeping pal.
Sounds like you’re entitled. Worse than a so-called gatekeeper. Entitled bad players who want better ppl to carry them, no, demand that better ppl carry them.
God forbid the RAID LEADER decides who to invite, jesus christ.
edit: clearly you have no idea at all why ppl use GS or check logs, find yourself a nice dad guild.
I had the same problem, and I realized that DW UH DK is the only class that really has a huge issue with this GS nonsense.
I parsed purple and orange in Preraid BiS gear and topped meters, and a lot of those pieces were unfortunately very low GS.
Every other class doesnt seem to have this problem in the same capacity.
Whatever makes you sleep at night, babe. I have a mix of all colors of parses across various expansions, but I couldn’t care less about proving anything to a stranger online. The game is not hard.
Not really. You’d often have to use a few worse items with a higher ilvl for more overall stats. That’s why GS is bad, because as soon as it exists in the general playerbase, people will purposely gear worse if it makes their GS higher. People did it back in the days, why would it be any different now?
People also rely on sheets and addons telling them what their “upgrades” are, without paying attention to stats, nor knowing how to sim their gear. If you’re going to be sweaty, at least do it properly.
Had you actually taken the time to read properly, you’d know I was talking about logs.
People parse low for a variety of reasons: and group comp DOES matter. Windfury for warriors and rogues, ele shaman or boomy for casters, for example. Another big factor is kill time. If you are parsing high and playing your class well, but your raids blows, some dies early, any number of factors that bring the total raid DPS down, your parse will suffer. RNG plays its part too.
Obviously, if you’re parsing really low, it’s hard to blame it on outside factors entirely, and is more likely due to major downtime or rotational issues. For that reason, I can stand behind the sentiment of not taking gray parsers, no one likes pulling dead weight. I’m mostly talking about the high end turbo-sweaters who push that mindset onto others.
Competitive raid logging/parsing in classic is a meme, but the community take it as the bible. IMO, it should just be a fun thing that keeps people raiding and playing the game to complete against themselves.
I’m a mythic raider, m+ pusher and also a former healer lead - and you’re telling me that?
Checking logs for progress makes sense in end-game content in retail, not classic, because it requires more knowledge than checking if someone can RNG shadowbolt crits on 15 y/o fights, and measures more than someone being able to press their 1 or 2 buttons doing more DPS than another person with completely different circumstances.
One thing a good parce DOES show is the person probably doesn’t die, and uses consumables.
You continue being entitled, and I’ll continue choosing whoever I want based on whatever I want for any PuGs that I should host. Deal?
No one’s stopping you, I’m just offering my perspective.
Just get better gear and stop crying that you aren’t invited into naxx25 if you’ve never even done even a full 10man raid. Run a couple heroic “world tours” and run 1-2 naxx 10mans and you will have enough gs for 90% of the pugs. If you are too lazy to do that and cry about GS requirements, its your own personal problem if you expect to get a free carry while doing nothing to gear yourself.
If you cannot pass a GS check, you likely wouldn’t pass an inspect check either.
This is just full on assuming only people who have bad gear don’t care for GS.
This couldn’t get further from the truth.
