No, going on the auction house to buy a couple tokens is not the same as earning them in game through some activity. Hell what we have now is basically a clown costume and it’s halloween. The chinese anniversary mounts come out… during the lunar festival event in WoW.
They’re not even thrown in randomly and would fit perfectly in as a reward to a current event in game most of the time and yet they’re sold on the store.
You are geniously an entitled person, a big entitled person on top of that. You’re just upset because there is something other people get for free that you feel entitled to.
There’s more than enough awesome designed stuff in this game that is for free, but I guess for some people it’s never enough. So envious of others.
Want to have it, but don’t want to pay any money? Go farm some gold ingame. As for me, as a big sheep, I don’t care about it and I don’t want it. Literally a non issue. But hey, it’s the wow forums where getting “upset” is a weekly event.
Ah, now it explains everything. You just want to feel special, showing off something other people don’t have. Therefore you mad because it’s not you who gets it for free.
I guess all these people are fine with microtransacitons in full priced single player games too. Actively seeking to pay more is just incomprehensible, who goes to a shop and goes to manager and tells “you know, should make this thing more expensive, i want to pay more”. Its like buying a car you expect to have 4 doors, but you arrive and it has 1 door, the others are “optional” and “cosmetic” extra.
Oh, now that’s actually a well thought out argument compared to the guy saying cosmetic is pay2win.
I agree, with the tokens BoE’s do become a rather murky gray area. And I’d add, it’s not only BoE’s that can be thrown there, but also something as simple as consumables, I.e. someone can buy a token to afford this or farm it.
It is also for this reason I don’t think boosts for gold is enheritanly bad. Because as I said, i can make the same argument about flasks, or really anything you can buy for gold to improve your performance.
Can even take it a step further back, is someone who can live of streaming actually a pay2win as that person automatically gets more time in game to reach his/her goals than someone who has a “real” job
Either way, it is hard to say when exactly these things can be considered pay2win, but at least we agree that cosmetics doesn’t fall under this category
So exactly how it is?
When I go to a dealer this is what it is I can get the base car, and it works, but if I want aircon, 5 doors instead of 3 I.e. leather seats ect, I gotta pay extra for it
When we got the onsie from the virtual ticket ,no1 qq-ed. Why is this so bad now? If you play with a 6 months sub,you get automatically. No1 complained when we got a mount as reward for the same 6 months sub. So why the fuss now? Is some one grabbing money from your pocket? Every game has a store where you get to buy additional stuff, cosmetic or for ingame use. Some of us actually like this small gifts that we receive
Yeah exactly, ripping you off same way, when these things should come as a default. For example, how is having black paint same price, but having orange paint 10k more expensive? And i talk about a car you bought for lets say 3 doors, but get 1 door only.
Do you even Play this game or are you trolling? Gold is literally the most important currency in this game, you can buy everything with gold. And gold can be bought with real money…
I thinkn you mistook my post for agreement. I fail to see the problem, you get the car for the prize, you want something changed to your liking, which makes it cost more… that is 100% fair…
Considering you have 4 store mounts AND you paid for the heroic version of shadowlands for the mount, you are just one of the many hypocrites that want to pick and choose when the shop is fine for you.
I just found that comparison weird though. I think it would make more sense to compare 2 cars that are 2 different editions, one that has folding side mirrors with remote control and the other one doesn’t.
Even comparing the paint color makes sense because the paint that costs 10k more could be more costly because it could be metallic and higher quality. So it costs more.
Think you missed the whole point of the post you replied to…
If I bought a car, and it had a radio in it, I’d pay extra for the cd player, thats how it works, you can’t expect to get the best of an item if you refuse to pay the extra.
