Generally speaking I’m okay with the store mounts to some degree, as long as they fit the lore and are recolors. I’m also okay with getting that stuff for free through the 6-month subs which is perfectly fine and a good price.
But what I’m not okay with is the price for these mounts in general. 20 bucks for a stupid mount or transmog? Let’s make it 5 and they’ll have my blessing to release more of “often requested” stuff in the store.
It’s not expensive. I am also not complaining about it. I am just putting it in a perspective why Blizzard is milking already enough money from each individual. Without the need to put more behind a pay2win wall.
Just the fact they want MORE is insane when you compare WoW with most other game it’s definetely among the expensive games around and that’s the fact.
These discussions always do anytime anything is added to the store.
It goes like this
dont add stuff pls blizz make it achieveable in game > you can achieve in game for token price > no i dont wanna make gold someone pays then > and back to route 1
These discussions will almost never sway anyones opinion on the matter wether your in the camp of hate the store or don’t care about the store
This is why I find these discussions kind of boring cause nothing ever happens as we just go in circles
Then don’t compare it with games and compare it with hobbies because that’s what wow is.
It’s also not insane that they want more because they are a company and companies are built around making as much money as possible. So you saying that’s insane just shows me you don’t know how companies work, it doesn’t matter if they make 50 billion $ in a year they will still want more because that’s how companies work
and I’m arguing why I think it’s greedy and now I’ll say that store items could’ve been added as in-game rewards and then you’ll give some shrouded reason why actually if it wasn’t on the shop it wouldn’t be added at all.

In definition of it only being accessible for players who directly pay money to blizzard instead of it being an own ingame reward. So if you want it u need to pay up.
It’s optional to get however wasted potential for it being an exclusive ingame reward.
And that’s also the problem the fact you stand next to me and the only mind behind it being “well he paid 20 euros me not, so I guess i pull the short stick”
The wasted potential for it being an ingame reward is why people backlash on it mostly.
Still not pay2win
Pay2win would be something like a weapon with better stats than what can be earned in game, thereby giving you an advantage in say pvp.
I don’t think cosmetics are a Pay2Win. The thing is; Pay2Win still exists in game to some extent, because of BoE pieces that can be purchased with gold and people that are paying for boosts with gold. It’s not allowed to buy boosts with RL cash, it shouldn’t be allowed with gold, as well. Because I think that makes the game pointless and it’s annoying.
