People that buy game time with Tokens actually give Blizzard more money than what they would have given them if they just bought a month of gametime with real life money.
Oh I can afford it with real life money but like I said, you don’t even own the stuff that you buy from the store, you lease it from Blizzard.
And yeah, I’d like to spend my time on other things than play WoW all day and farming ingame gold to get things from the store.
We’re nearing Chinese MMO’s and mobile games at this point.
So what are you whining about then? You don’t want to spend money or ingame gold on it, so either you don’t really want it or you feel entitled to have it. I don’t care about the whole item, so I’m not going to buy it. And those who want it, can buy/farm it. Neither of those impact my life whatsoever.
But no one does that.
People buy WoW Tokens to sell for gold in-game.
And then other people buy WoW Tokens with gold to use for game time.
In that process everyone gets what they want, be it money (Blizzard), gold (players) or game time (other players).
No one there is secretly getting something. The transactions are entirely transparent.
It’s my own decision to spend money on items from the shop, same as any other product/service. It’s a transmog. It still baffles me people are this angry with a transmog set in the store. Sorry but in this case I’ll be one of the so called “defenders”. Wow has the best store out of many, MANY MMO’s. Take a look at other MMO stores and you’ll see Wow has nothing compared to them.
There is a reason why I don’t play MMO’s. There is a reason why WoW is the king of MMO’s.
That other MMO’s have way more, I don’t care about. There’s a reason I’m not playing their game.
“This small monkey throwing poop at you? Oh be happy he’s not a big gorilla throwing his at you in the other enclosure”
people mostly want to earn cosmetic stuff through the game, like rares or some form of grinding.
it´s kinda weird tbh, with the shadowlands heroic payment thing you have to grind that mog set instead of getting it straight away. and then you have this fairy mog with no grind but as a reward for paying 6 month game time.
another thing people hate about it is because bliz is slowly becoming like other MMOs with the cosmetic shops n stuff, ffxiv suffers this even though that is a pay to play.
people don´t want WoW to become something like that is all. people don´t like change and gaming companies like to make money
I must admit I’ve yet to speak to people, so I can’t claim superior knowledge on the area.
Who’s in charge of people anyway? Who’s the manager? Who do I call? Do people have a union?! I demand to speak to people! I want answers, damn it, and I want 'em now!!
