Stop defending the Transmog set from the shop

Is this another “I don’t like people enjoying stuff I don’t like” thread?

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Also add some “I don’t have it, so no one else can have it”

I’m tellin’ ya, this people guy, he’s getting on my nerves. He should start minding his own business. :unamused:

Fixed this for you.

thank you

Have YOU seen the new SL sets? Some of them look friggin amazing.

Actually no. I pay my sub with gold, hence I pay ZERO dollars for it. The person who actually bought the token in the shop payed Blizzard money for it yes, but not me, and he would have done so regardless.

I do hope you know the reason as to why Blizzard implemented the tokens to begin with? They are actually GOOD for the ingame economy.

Causing many threads like:

OMG they fired 7 people, i will now be outraged and i cant support a company who does this.
So ill unsub now!
/bye.

Either way,
The store is there for cosmetic rewards only, and as such i dont really see the issue.

Furthermore, i also believe the sub prices are being kept steady because the store makes enough money to pay other expenses aswell keeping the sub price low.

And the outrage seems so fake, when it comes to WoW: people go crazy about store cosmetics.
The fact OW / HOTS and Hearthstone use the same systems by selling skins for heroes / cardbacks ever since they released the games.

So either be outraged about all of the above or nothing.
But dont do go raging and bashing a company for certain decisions while being okay with others. (when said decisions are simple marketing things aswell)

Take a good look in this thread right now

How can be someone so clueless. Tell me what takes more effort. Create mog set or create actuayl game content? Ofc mog set is much much cheaper to make than game content. So how do you think is best way to make money? Let people quit game becouse of content but made up for losses by creating mog set. Or Spend way more resources and get exact same outcome in profit as creating mog set?

Yes people buying sets affects you. It affects amounth of content what goes into the game and its quality. More people will buy this garbage less of effort and resources have to go into actual content in order to make same amounth of profit.

I know what he’s talking about but i dont care like I said before, when people want to buy items from the store thats their choise i bought items too and a couple times a half year with mount I,m just a casual player for the fun. Offcourse its more fun when you can earn it in game like a drop or something, but how blizzard wil make money thats their decision and when people dont like it well play another game .

Do you understand that the mog from the store was literally made by the money we spend on subscription? Its literally being boinked in the butt. How ppl can be so blind…

It’s hilarious how people don’t understand that CS items they are buying are the items which were made from the money they already paid the developer

Who cares about how many store mounts are there? There’s close to 800 mounts in WoW. Mounts do not matter at all.

Like the majority of American corporations, Activision is fueled by debt. Debt that needs to be paid back. It doesn’t matter how many billions they make, they need to always be making more than they did last year. The majority of American corporations completely bought the “infinite market expansion” idea that was peddled around 30 years ago.

You also have the objective fact, that WoW’s price hasn’t kept up with inflation. The game now is 36% cheaper than it was 16 years ago. The more years that go by, the more pressure is there to find alternative monetization to compensate for this drop in real value. A company or product, whose business model actively discounts inflation is bound to fail after some years.

I really wish WoW’s players would spend their effort on things that matter.
