Is this a ‘I can’t think of anything to whine about so I’ll choose something totally trivial because I want some attention’ Thread ?
I’ve seen - and used - SS for Summoning Stone, never MS for Meeting Stone - which also for me means Main Spec. But still I would have had no trouble guessing the meaning of MS in this sentence
yea, as always context is king
Hey, that’s what I always say - I work as a translator
Stop saying car - it’s km/h.
I’ve never used SS for Meeting Stone, SS was always Soulstone for me. This will get even harder to distinguish as Warlocks get Meeting Stones as usable spells.
Imagine a Discipline Priest Raid Leader saying this: “Hey DragonKiller, SS please”. Does he want Soulstone or to create a Meeting Stone? I know it’s absurd
SS is also Soul Stone yes - confusing… But as Reiji said Context is King!
DD looks like a typo
It’s a German or FF player thing to call it a DD.
You can’t really go around shouting, “Need more for SS (Summoning Stone)” Some might think it stands for Schutzstaffel and report you.
On point I’m not bothered, I’ve played enough games to use both.
I thought MS is Movement Speed.
DPS = damage per second
DD = damage dealer
For this your huge concern, I want to tell you something.
A dear child has many names.
If someone is looking for a group and saying that he is DD or DPS, I guess we all understand what he means.
And believe me, there is much bigger concerns with WOTLK classic than this one.
Range Damage Dealer , Melee DD, Healer, Tank.
But no way
Range DPS, Melee DPS, HPS, Absorber Damage
DD is a bra size
Except kek comes from WoW as it is the orcisch version of laugther.
even in game its written that the role is dealing damage to enemies
You’re all wrong.
It’s “lf hunter”.
Never seen anybody shorten a summoning stone like this lol.
Meeting stones = classic
Summoning stones = TBC onwards.
I mean, I’ve never seen anybody use SS or MS for the summoning stones.
SS = Soulstone
MS = Main Spec
This is actually the first time I’ve heard of people calling the summoning stones as meeting stones lol.
Of all the things to get upset about.
Yes SS is normally SoulStone, but can be Summoning Stone. The Question: “Anyone at SS?” can hardly be misunderstood
As Reiji said first, but I say almost every day to clients or sons: Context is king!
