How is this an age thing? I’m over 40, been playing WoW since 2007 and have never seen the “DD” acronym on the servers I played. Has always been DPS.

Same here , playing since vanilla (on and off , but more on than off if you follow me ) and NEVER heard DD until I saw this thread , its been DPS since the start . Maybe DD is a US thing ? (like them calling deadmines VC?) or as someone pointed out a Final Fantasy thing??
(also was an adult when I started playing WoW)
Wasn’t it called meeting stone in classic before they added summoning capability

Didn’t a committee get people in the US to call is Salisbury Steak during World War one , as they didn’t want to use the name of a German City? it didnt rally last long though.
(also German Shepherds were renamed Alsatians , and that one did stick , at least in the UK and Ireland )
