Hello, recently i found out that i need my green trinket [Chained Essence of Eranikus] in order to finish quest [The Essence of Eranikus]. Which i of course trashed like ~1 month ago while lvling.
And now they say they won’t restore it i won’t be able ever to complete this quest.
This is complete nonsense and triggers my OCD as a person who wants to complete all quests. Back then in 2006 they would 100% restore it, it is not a classic experience.
My question: What is your experience with GMs and item restoration?

If you are not happy with the customer support response, then click the button “I still have a problem” and ask for it to be looked at by a supervisor.
In future… don’t vendor cool funky trinkets

I want to know experience with english GMs, maybe someone else tried to restore this trinket and got different respond.

Blizzard’s GM was right. It’s an RPG element, unlike the situation in the Retail. So if you loose something, it should be gone forever. Just calm down and continue or create a new character.
P.S. No one here is interested in your mental state. Don’t use these tricks to arouse empathy.

After they implemented self-service item restore, they won’t restore items using GM powers. Same about loot trading.

This is fair for something you can re-obitain, like epics and etc. But quests shouldn’t impossible to complete

I finished it. So there is no way to loot that quest item again. I’m stuck on next quest, which needs a quest reward (green crappy trinket, which i trashed) from that finished quest.
Cant you just remove and pick up the Quest again?
My experience is theyre fair, as in, if its not your fault they will help you out
Considering most quest items are marked and return An error when you try to sell it (not counting recipe’s for cooking quests) the fact that you had the item in your inventory means there was no technical error preventing you from getting the essence
It also asks for confirmation on deletion which you had to have clicked yes too, that might be part of the reason

what I remember is that you loot an item from boss that starts a quest. you give that item to a pool next to boss and you get the trinket and quest ends there. idk what is your issue but gm was right.

don’t ask gms to restore it when you can do it yourself.

I wouldn’t create this thread if i didn’t research all possibilities. I already checked and no, there is no Chained Essence of Eranikus in item restoration tool, it can restore items only in past 15 days.
