I was curious so I checked. There isn’t a log where you’ve broken 500k dps as a tank over the course of a dungeon - let alone beat a dps. You can’t look at a pull where you have all your buttons and xalatath has just buffed you and think that represents the dungeon.
sorry, you might not understand word “trash pack”
cause i misspelled
but on my last log on grim batol +11 i did 500k + dps so my details say (overall)
id say its pretty nice + you obviously didnt get the irony xD
i can have 5 milion burst on DH on trash packs it feels nice, it doesnt matter logs.
its all about feeling
but its nice to have some little goblin like you around these forums checking out peoples logs xd
want to check my other wow account ? NateHagger DK. i tank on this account
i wish i test BDK after buffs, must be strong
People have given up. I have given up as a healer. I just run a few keys with friends and been playing another game. They need to remove key depletion or something. If I run a 12 and it fails with a pug and I get a 11 and I have completed it. I literally have zero desire to play that key again for no reason at all.
i am not good in remembering routes even irl so tanking is out of question for me .
i only did tanking in ffxiv because the base game dungeons are way too easy and tank stance helps keep aggro
This is interesting because I had the same issue when I was hit by the 11->12 wall but I didn’t have such issues in DF S2 and S3.
I think this stems from the fact that 11 to 12 is such a huge jump which never existed before and thus 11s feel mind-numbingly boring while 12s can get ripped within 2 minutes.
When failing a 26 in DF, doing a 25 again wasn’t mind-numbingly boring at all because those were rather close in difficulty so if you really struggled in a 26, chances are you also had to concentrate in a 25.
Now you just roflstomp through 11s while watching your fav. show on your second monitor while you have to sweat in 12s.
The gap is an issue and it’s supposedly looked at by Blizzard for S2 (according to an interview).
The part about "oh its only on trashpacks "was a different sentence and because you don’t understand punctuation it can be taken to mean a number of things. It’s not my fault you can’t write clearly.
Yea, screw facts.
Thanks, if fact checking liars and pointing out that less than 500k dps overall in a dungeon isn’t “OP” then I’ll take it.
if you think tank shortage was bad - just wait what will happen in S2 with people outright refuse to tank and heal on alts because everytime they go into m+ they are potentialy taken hostage and risking their account if they refuse to carry
The shortage of tank players is not solely due to nerfs, it is the resposibility that comes for playing a tank, plus, the recent news, which you get ban if you leave a dungeon “excessively” .
i haven’t timed 10s ? im literally 633 i lvl on tank and 630 on healer and timed 12s , what raider io are you lookin at ? probably yours , i think you messed up the right tab.
there is no offending here , your just stating something wrong , and i corrected you , no one is angry , that’s the normal response for stating misinformation about someone , you would react the same if i did the same , its ok.
a normal reaction of stating personal misinformation , normal human reaction , stop acting like you never reacted that way too over a game , yes my glory i am mighty , high self esteem , everyone feel that way about themselves , unless your a doomer.
I will tell you why there is a shortage of tanks. When I join a group in the group finder, and start my route which will guarantee a + 1, I hear the dps: tank pull more/ you’re soo slow. I have seen groups where the dps and to heal do not use any defines or interrupts and cc. When I leave that group, I’m treated with a bad report. When I timed a levele 11 key +2, I still get to hear:’ a 2.7k tank can do so much faster and better.
Concluded. In the groupfinder, you find unappatted dps who can interrupt or play their classes, you find healers dashing without even doing any dps and not filling the party’s healtpools; overall just carried slugs. And players witout anny knowlegde about the tacks. And on top of that… when you want to leave a bad group you get to be treated with a ban by blizard or the group.
I’m tierd of those leeching scum of a dps’ers that are mostly no good anyway
I have a well-filled friendlist with healers and good dps. I don’t need a group finder anymore.
Yeah it’s annoying. The key depletion is annoying too. It’s not like we can go back in and start again.
I’m pleased they are looking into it. I just gave up now. It’s not worth the stress. Right now I’m just logging in and helping friends get KSH and doing the traders tender. I suppose blizz has to try new things. The +7 and +12 affix seems a failure to me and hopefully it’s addressed.
I’m a “tank only” player, doing M+ with friends. Finished all the +10 on time for portals, and I’m pretty much done for the season. +10 keys are too stressful to do again on any alts. Anything below that isn’t worth doing either because it’s capped at hero track gear.
There are so many issues with M+ atm, there needs to be some big changes going into next season, or my break might be extended much longer.
Self sustain/agency over your own survival sucks after the changes from DF to TWW. I have yet to speak to someone who thinks this change was for the better. All it did was make M+ more stressful for tanks and healers.
Too many tankbusters synced with unavoidable group damage, makes it much harder for healers to help tanks live. Dead tank is usually a wipe, so yet another layer of stress.
The changes to interrupts being required to put a cast on cooldown, instead of just any CC also sucks.
Trash mobs having 17 different abilities to track and plan for when making the route and pulls. Yet another responsibility and added stress factor that falls on the tank.
Threat issues getting worse every week because dps specs outscale tank damage as the season progress. Enhance Sham is an outlier atm, but specs like rets and mages popping off isn’t exactly fun either. The fact that it’s negative for someone to do high burst damage pretty much says how dumb the threat mechanic is.
So why do I still tank? Because the friends I play with makes the game fun, despite of these problems, and I at least have the luxury of being able to fail without getting treated like garbage. This is also why I never join any pugs.
I quit my Guardian because DPS cant handle to press interrupt or cc. The damage usually goes on me. 0 brain DPS players who just wanna Brrrrrrr and not evem trying to help tank.
I wonder how did theese people even get to 80?. I do 10s ish around 2600 rating.
Blizz really need to put a Dps boost like DH have or even better for interrupting mobs
