Tank shortage in tww

Good for you i guess? Well done you found a way to do it? We need an external blessing of sacrifice to get through them. And i need to spam the tank.

You need WA’s to even know when they come  Theres no cast. We had our tank flop over on the double soulcleaver. 12+M in a second or 2 which goes through ironfur. Flop.

Linky logs, otherwise you’re talking crap.

Then your tank is literally afk lol

What exactly is problematic here? Here tank sustains himself completely solo. Even on +12.

I suppose not literally.
No idea what your point is.

I am happy though people can do +19’s and we can’t. Does not mean we are literally afk.
Good talk.

If you have to heal the tank before the tankbuster and after then he has to be literally afk. What else is he doing then? Obviously not pressing buttons.

Well that’s not the point but when people struggle at very basic mechanics already, then obviously they won’t be able to play high keys. In fact these people should not even be in the 10s in the first place. Not even in the 8s.

Tanks run out of buttons too.
he isnt literally afk.

I am bad at english but i wonder if you understand what the word “literally” means. Maybe look it up before you start posting on a forum.

Why is your tank playing reactively? It’s literally a proactive role.

Soul Split (magic damage), Anima Slash(magic damage), Shred Armor, Triple Bite - you need to be using mit properly before they hit. Not panic and try to recover after, if you even survive.

It’s lame as hell you need to use weakauras/addons to show them. But i use littlewigs nameplate icons, they are great. Blizzard needs to make tankbusters show on nameplates baseline

You can’t just have a few stacks of ironfur which is just extra armor (physical dr only) and call it a day…

He isn’t. But you can not incarn every pack. And when the pull goes on for too long you flop over.
When you get by the mist maze 2 anima slashers and the next room again, you are a sitting duck.

We are timing 12’s for crying out loud. Still pretty nice keylevel. I am fine there are people way better. Good for you.

I’m not bashing him, Mists is the only key i’ve done on 12, we 2 chested and then i couldn’t be bothered to play with pugs anymore lol.

Bears have enough mit for it if you rotate carefully. Does he run 2 x survival instincts? They arent coming that often.

Tell him to use lunar beam then absorb trinket. It almost doubles the amount, it’s not all that well known.

Ehm… ye if you pretty much fail everything before the encounter, then ye… you could maybe run out of buttons, at least for the first tankbuster. If the tank then still runs out of buttons for the second tankbuster, then he is obviously smashing non sense randomly and should not even be on this difficulty in the first place.
In the end it doesn’t matter if he is randomly smashing buttons or being afk, the outcome is pretty much the same.

Yes, I do. That’s why I use it.
But please, do not try to play smart aleck, since you literally (get this one? ) just quoted something that does not even contain the word literally while trying to educate me on it.

I think you just proved i do not need to respond further on you. Whatever you try to be smart and try to talk people down.

To me it sounds like you need to play perfect and still rely on the healer. Especially potential new tank players who are literally afk (see what i did there…).

Really? Isn’t that literally  what you attempted to do? Doesn’t feel nice when people talk to you the same way you do? Maybe you should think about it.

That’s not the case. You need to play your role and know a bit of mechanics, which is the only good thing in this season so far.

That’s why we have low keys, where they can learn. If a “new” tank player jumps into a “high” key not knowing the mechanics, he should not live after failing mechanics.

Also i can see you are overgeared, try to go +10 on 610 ilvl max how its supposed to. Then you will see what ppl are talking about.

you can’t easily people behavior , unless you start banning everyone i suppose , never seen this system being a good thing in mmos since half of the wow playerbase will be banned at this point , if you abuse toxic behavior and people actually report you , you’ll get a ban warning , but people don’t bother to report players for being an a-hole and using slurs cause they refuse to see the players as actual humans , as long as m+ will have a timer and keys being depleted at the same time with perril affix , people will be in their biggest toxic shape of form

Remember that the more competitive the scene the more toxic the players behave , which blizzard can’t tune down the absurdity they made with the m+ changes , we got stuns don’t interrupt anymore , we got perril affix , we got alts needing trillions of crests we got healers working on a real time job , we got packs with 60 tank busters , 100 timed run to max out your crests on alts , we have the m+ dungeon rotation , which is one of the worst dungeons we had in years , stonevault/grim/echoes first and last boss/necrotic wake before 50 nerf updates / city of threads second and third boss , crazy season.

Im not a doomer , we had good things like delves gearing , we had a crazy alt level up sessions , we had warbound items , good banking system i guess ? , the rest need to be tuned down.

You can estimate the cast. The point is that that is the only damage to watch out for.

I have only done those packs on 11,with 617 bear. I did get clapped once, I give them that. I bet the +12 is a whole new world of pain. Still, everything above +10 is personal challenge and can be disregarded. All packs on +10 with 619 tanks are doable without much sweat.

Where is it written that it is supposed to be done at 610? I would think that due to it being the designed highest key, it would qualify as a Mythic boss. Which would be around 617-619.

i exactly

i farmed every week not for nothing
it is nice to have good enchants, i allso got void reaper contract combo
it may not sim the best but

aestetic is nice to have 2x set pieces ; - )

and yes, you do pump your character so i can do chillll +10`s in time
no need anything more
i dont play for a trophy from a Lidl nor i do have pushing group

(most of the time i help people hit 2.k rio on my tanks, and thats the reeward for me ; - ) )

Yes, that is exactly how I could describe tww tanking: Stressful; simply no better word for it.

I have no idea what was in the devs’ minds when they thought making tanking more stressful would have any positive consequences at all.
Ppl avoid this role like plague with a very good reason.

For a good while now, when I play as guardian druid, I am consciously declining any retris or enchantment shamans, because I am well aware that I wont be able to keep aggro against them for sure.
We already tried this threat nerf in SL and blizzard quickly reverted it, but apparently this time they are more insistent.

It’s pretty funny that the people who don’t main tank try to come in an tell you why there’s a tank shortage (in pugs) when you’ve lived the pug experience as one and they know better when they don’t.

See 100s of comments echoing anxiety (such as creating/following routes) or the group lynching them for a single mistake or the “wrong route”. (i quit this season over this argument over a “bad pull,” when it’s literally the meta pull and we have done for an age, 3 packs start of gb 12)

Nah man, it’s because “tanks don’t do enough damage” . Every single tank spec in the game has at least 1 DPS spec they can switch to if they want to do damage/top charts

We tank because we like to do tank stuff.

Well, right now as guardian druid have neither dmg nor proper tankiness. Sometimes it feels like I was playing my SL dh (from tankiness pov), except that had proper self-healing for the dmg it took.

I have attained ksh on my dps spec (well, mostly), switched to it as main focus after my first few 10s as tank.
I was like: why should I do this, if I can just dps and invest a fraction of the efforts required as tank for the same rewards.

Occasionally I still play it, but I hardly find any fun it it.
Maybe its different on other classes, but my experience is based on my chosen main class for this season.
(I haven chosen it partially because I wanted to have less near oneshots than I had on my dh especially on pulls, but alas it seems I am not escaping that)
