Metaphors aren’t your strong suit, are they?
No they aren’t. I prefer people just say what they mean instead of saying random things and me needing to try to understand what they actually mean.
Just type what you mean to say. It will help you. Everywhere actually.
Imagine trying to communicate; type random words and then complain other people not understanding you. My goodness.
grandma = low skilled players / slow players
grandkids = highly skilled players / gogo types
And I’d give you the advice to increase your litteracy, it’s a wonderful art and adds a lot of color to your life… and it generally helps understanding ppl, because many struggle to exactly express what they mean.
(Oh, btw, since you’re the same person: I got my Hunter myth tint and also the one for my WL and am now working on the shaman one, so I’ve by now run quite a lot of +8 and still haven’t encountered a single run where being stuck in voice with strangers would’ve made the run any better. )
I advice that to you. Some people seem to do better expressing themselves the way they mean, instead of writing random words and then blame the other for not understanding.
Because this totally makes sense; not.
Good for you. But voice does make runs way way way better.
Just make the interupt do some small amount of damage, or give a combo point or something, you’ll see people keen to do it then!
“Rebuke gives 1 holy power” or something for ret, for example.
And another run where some one leaves because they rather re run the dungeon for few more gilded crest and waste 30 more minutes, rather then spend 5 more minutes to finisch the run.
Meanwhile me solo’ng the last 40% of the boss because everyone died and does not know mechanics with 1 less dps because of a leaver, that would’ve probably finisched no problem if we did not have a leaver.
This has been my m+ in Mist of tirna scythe for few dungeons last in last few weeks, while everything else go’s smooth usually.
zero friends made since The War Within so far least not the kind that is active enough.
And still depressed, i am losing my motivation really fast now to keep playing, their is only toxicity no communication other then that.
And this is what i come back to after not being able to play for 2 years because Blizzard ignored all my problems that me and others where having on similar hardware configurations.
The problem is m+ went from a fun way to get to almost the same level (gear wise) as mythic raiders, into a brutal gauntlet designed specifically for mythic raiders.
The usual crowd of people completing +12s will be here in a minute to mock me for this post, but it’s true.
Blizzard needs stop listening to people who think they should be playing MDI (but aren’t).
Blizzard needs to stop listening to people who think everyone has CE / AOTC (they don’t) and that everyone is capable of clearing 3000 raider io (They aren’t)
Let’s make m+ fun again, at least up to the level that matters, let the elites have their imaginery contest above the highest loot level, like before, if they want to.
But this creates the problem where someone who enjoys doing all content will need to keep multiple equipment sets on them and maintain them, becoming additionally worse for players/characters who also enjoy playing as multiple roles in all of them too.
There is no elegant non-convoluted solution that will keep everyone happy.
-=EDIT=-
Actually there is, but it has to be detached from equipment. Imagine having additional talent trees, let’s call them “templates”, one for each specific end-game pillar, and progressing in each end-game pillar allows you to unlock further nodes on it which make you more powerful only in that end-game pillar.
Then you can have everything drop the exact same item level, and this borrowed-power system which will reset every season will emulate one’s progress in that specific content. So players will no longer look at one’s item level, but how much progress they have on the specific template.
-=EDIT 2=-
Another idea would be to again have every end-game pillar drop identical item level at the max possible (let’s say 636 for the current season) but each end-game pillar also drops equipment (or allows equipment to be enhanced) that can become higher item level in that specific content only for specific and exclusive equipment slots. Example:
PvP: Drops 636 on every item slot, but can drop/upgrade up to 639 in PvP only for Helmet and Wrists
Delves: Drops 636 on every item slot, but can drop/upgrade up to 639 in Delves only for Shoulders and Gloves
Dungeoneering: Drops 636 on every item slot, but can drop/upgrade up to 639 in dungeons only for Legs and Boots
Raiding: Drops 636 on every item slot, but can drop/upgrade up to 639 in raids only for Chest and Belt
Crafting: Allows Weapons, Neck pieces, Rings and Trinkets to be upgraded to 639 everywhere
Its not the case of “elitism or MDI or whatever”.
M+ up to this season was nothing more than a “glorified vending machine” → get your free mythic pieces right here.
So it was used as a stepping stone to higher content like delves are used now. Now Blizz has decided to make m+ on par with mythic raiding(or close to it). So if you want your mythic pixels then be prepared to put in the work like the raiders do.
People who got used to having “the gear vendor” showering them with mythic gear will ofc scream: MDI, toxic, gatekeeping and etc.
The point of M+ being a challenge is something challenging is GOOD. Let us have our challenges, i dont like to raid Mythic, but im forced too bc of gear. Well at least let me have fun on M+, they can be fun and challenging at the same time, but they are suposed to be a challenge, not to be funny.
Considering yourself a blessing like a bean.
ironically mists is the easiest dungeon, but if the dps or tank knows nothing and dont bind buttons it seems to be the hardest.
the fun when 2 harvest casts go off and nobody does anything. The amount of times people have 4 bleeds rolling on the first pull without using anything and simultanously standing in the big beam frontal.
about as classic as people doing 500k dps on the first boss needing you to 3 phase it on a +5 lolz
wont help much.
dps need to interrupt priority casts not random stuff just to gain a little dmg.
dont you love it as healer if nobody interrupts goresplatter in necrotic wave and the whole group just dies from the dot?
you can have your challenge, just keep it above the level that drops gear, did people even read my post or just run scared of the idea that a game might be fun, almost like it was a game.
blame delves and m+ being too hard
People are running m+ on mains and not on their alts
Hence tank and heal shortages
what?
How dare you tell people to enjoy a game and have just “fun”.
Don’t you know that “fun” is forbidden and nerf’d out almost immediately?
No wonder it feels like ____ then.
Mythic raiding has been known to be for a very select group of guilds/players. It’s content many Heroic raiders don’t even want to think about, due to several factors.
So making other content on par with Mythic raiding is inherently a horrendous idea, and if this really was the goal they should just scratch their heads and wonder if they can still wipe their behinds. Just performing a sanity check wouldn’t hurt.
I know, raiders have been complaining about M+. But that says more about raid rewards than M+. And we can probably continue seeing this pattern evolve as M+ers are now complaining about Delve rewards. So expect Delves to be completely crippled down till Hogger-levels in Season 2 or Season 3, if they continue to mindlessly do what they’ve been doing to make it “on par”.
A few days ago I did a random +10, stonevault I think it was.
Everything was going fine, a +2 was very comfortably on the cards, until a wipe happened on the third boss. A single wipe, and arguably it could of still been timed.
Someone left.
This game has never been more toxic, and it’s entirely due to m+ elitism, so it’s hard to say that outside of the bubble of people who are 8/8 mythic, that the elitism and toxicity does not exist and has been fostered by the “git gud” attitude of the haves in this divisive approach to m+ this season.
Right, dream on. Go back to vanilla and you see ninja looting, random guild kicks, pointing players to the opposite direction, misdirecting big mobs to random players to kill them, players were bullied for wearing the “wrong” armor type, scamming, …
It’s always been … “toxic”. Don’t even try to pretend that it was ever different.
And the other 20 M+ runs were totally fine. Allthough timing is never a guarentee, obviously.
I can start a topic about 1 player completely wrecking a NW +10 key a couple of days ago with not baiting the frontal on the 1st boss filling the room with crap and cornering the other people between the boss and the adds (and not only 1 time), and got hit by the breath of the 2nd boss every freaking time where after 50+ minutes and still on the 2nd boss someone left because the dungeon wasnt finishable.
And then i look at my list on done dungeons and i have timed NW +10 another 3 times in the same week without any trouble. By far the majority of runs are totally fine and not a trainwreck.
When I played vanilla I wasn’t turned away for playing the wrong class, people didn’t leave my parties for single mistakes, and people used to randomly buff me for existing in the same space as them, this continued throughout BC and Wrath.
In WoD I encounted my first “ninja-looter” and made a report about it, never seen another since.
In TWW, M+ really has shown the worst in people, and the worst part is, people are defending this! I’ve spent the last 5 days playing other games with my GF and she doesn’t want to come back to M+, she heals and heals at a level where +12s would be viable for her, grats on losing a valuable player due to the elitism and toxicity people in this thread are defending. -sigh-
If I wasn’t working later I’d need a strong drink having read some of what I read on this forum.
