Testing Same-Faction Battlegrounds in Burning Crusade Classic

you need to fix premade groups with solo players. this is madness!

It happens in both factions , next bg you’ll have a better luck maybe.

Already done except for av not that i still need battleground map andi have some raiding to do so but i am not anymore a pvp player so that too.

WHen you do AV you give the horde a chance to play there.

We’re tagging as a group and we do like a few av before we stop , farming horde is a refined pleasure from time to time it release some pve boredom.

i really love this change. i hope it will be possible to queue against same faction in the future. but i would like to see free faction changes to ally.

what i really dislike is PUG vs Premade.
i think at 6 or more ppl per group they should atleast face another premade of 6 or more.

I personally love RBG and think this feature would also address the issue with unfair matches versus premade teams.

Anyway now BGs are hella alive and i hope this change will persist. Thanks a lot.

Yes I really hope this gonna stay, because finally I see an interest (or a possibility) to do PvP again !!

I must admit, I was wrong about Blizzy this time. This solution is good, surely better than faction change (paid or free). No more 2hr queue just to be erased by a premade. I see some alliance players complaining about “the only reason to play alliance” . Let me just tell you that If you have chosen alliance just because of short queue, maybe you have chosen the wrong faction for you since the beginning. Ok, sorry for my bad english. See you in wsg.

Amazing now I can actually play bg’s, thankyou blizzard

hey blizz good to see your active and trying make the game better and while i understand that the massive long q on horde is not a outcome you want. i am worried that it has put ally at a great disadvantage in the future.

i play on the server shazzrah and ally is dying out, last i looked it was 25 ally to 75 horde and by removing the only downside for horde i think you just doomed my server to die out alot faster, im sure im not alone in this but it kinda feels like your dont care about ally problems but bends over backwards as soon as the horde face any kind of challenge and it kinda make me not wanting to play the game.

As it was mentioned. Free transfer Horde–>Alliance, and x5 exp and rep to ally side. I want to reroll ally right now…

I see happy horde defending Vanndar, i must stop taking those pills…

Seriously its ridiculous… why even have 2 factions in the end…

What about me trying to get a group for dungeon for 2 hours because alliance are low population? Do you care for that too? Would you support a cross faction lfg tool for dungeons? And mind that i cannot do other activities while wait 2 hours for a dungeon… i need to actively scan the chat and send whispers etc…

This change is just what we need and it benefits both factions. First of all we have 1min q for horde which is excellent. We have a wider variety of bgs setups, premades now from both factions.
So now it’s just fair conditions regarding bgs.
Alliance benefits from this change too since they are now less likely to be targeted in open world by aimless horde pvp players on their 1h bg queues. As for myself, since i can normally queue bg with my friends, we havent been killing alliance players on open world at all as we used to when we had nothing (pvp) to do during our long waiting times.
About alliance concerns on their population, needless remind them that alliance is mostly played by pve players, that horde’s population is already twice as big as theirs and has always been. Their waiting time for bgs will never be an issue. Their pvp racials (humans and gnomes) remain the preference for some pvp players and this won’t change either. Meaning alliance won’t be deserted or anything of the sort.
Overall i see no downside to this patch and hope it will become permament in the future, thank you for paying attention to what the community really needs.
Best regards.
PS: thanks for feral druid too <3

No we don’t, stop pretending like this is a “buff” to alliance.
Yes some pvpers might now do BGs instead of ganking alliance.
But a 2:1 realm is still a 2:1 realm, alliance won’t suddenly have the upper hand in the open world just because of that.
And soon that 2:1 realm might become a 3:1 realm for all we know, as the relative horde to alliance population is still increasing from week to week.

I said you benefit from it since you are less likely to be targeted and it is true, you admit it yourself “Yes some pvpers might now do BGs instead of ganking alliance.” so let’s not argue needlessly.
Yes the balance in some servers is 2:1 and on other servers it’s 1:2, there also are pve servers, there is a wide variety of servers, the choice is all yours, pick so your server well my friend  gl and hf

Some servers might be alliance favoured, but lets not pretend like there hasnt been a massive population in the horde favour shift when the pre-patch hit.
And how interesting and healthy will it be for the game be if most alliance players migrate to pve, while every horde goes pvp?

This is a very welcome change blizzard, thanks, hope it stays.

Alliance players think that long Horde battleground queues make people reroll faction but that’s an illusion. 99% of the players aren’t in the mood to reroll since it takes a lot time SO they simply quit pvp or unsub.

Short battleground queues made the pvp scene become alive again, I have friends that started pvp again because of this change.

Horde vs Alliance population is fine, Horde has like 6% more ( https://ironforge.pro/population/tbc/?locale=EU ), the problem is that Alliance players don’t pvp too much.
What could blizzard do to increase pvp players on Alliance? I don’t know, but one thing I’m sure… is not with long bg queues on horde because it kills the whole pvp activity.
