The end of "war" in warcraft?

I know I was. After 5 minutes I was close to cutting their reins and letting the snakes eat them. Or waiting until the armed guard was asleep and borrowing his gun.

We’re in a Cold War phase. We aren’t buddies but we aren’t in all-out conflict just now either.

Although I did feel like the Reclaiming of Gilneas was a missed opportunity to have Faction tension be elevated somewhat, even if we didn’t end up in a Hot War again.

On the point about the game becoming too soft, I agree.

I disagree that the fix for that is Horde v Alliance wars. I think Blizzard are moving towards letting a player choose the character they want (Faction) and where they want (Realm) but be able to play with everyone else and I’m all for that

I am Horde through and through but I want to go to war with whoever is bad, not just the Alliance because that’s how it used to be. Times change.

There is more to this game than just red vs blue and that is a tired old trope that’s been done multiple times already.
We are at war every expansion. Currently we just went to war with the primalists.

The war in warcraft is in. Cope.

Unfortunatley Blizz never listen and will continue to keep the name of the game PINKCRAFT. Love is in the air, ssssh.

Not to mention queues for BGs would probably be a lot better for all if they just dumped players into Red or Blue team and let the battle.

Unfortunately this is not the case in Blitz, where dumping players into red or blue is what happens. The queues though, can be 10 minutes or they can be over an hour. On average I’d say 20-30 minutes by the time you actually get a full 16 to press the enter BG button.

Its about time to be honest.

Ngl though, I wish it was still a thing and new MVPs sometimes showed up, along with the gentle removal of the title from people who no longer interact with the forums the way they once did.

Green text does feel like another system that Blizzard forgot to maintain… rn it’s like some kind of nobility. Either you’re born green or you never will be.

War will never end. Just look at Russia, Israel, Afghanistan. Those dopes are fighting for 2000+ years now. As long as dumb people rule the world that will not change.

Did we tho?
It felt more like they were just a filler pressence
the goofy henchmen to a more dangerous threat
a team rocket to the giovanni that was the primals
I can’t even name 5 primalists on the top of my head

Tbh I organized a group to raid Orgrimmar, Undercity and Silvermoon 2022 and it filled up surprisingly fast and was fun.

Now that might be because everyone was waiting for new xpac and there was kinda nothing to do but still…

The game has always been about both sides teaming up to fight a 3rd party, even back in classic we teamed up to fight C’Thun, in BC we all teamed up for the assault on the black temple, Wrath both ulduar and ICC was cannoncally team ups. The only time there has been a proper war in warcraft as you put it was battle for dazar’alor

For me it makes more sense of the story to reflect the state of the game. I was no fan of the removal myself but it couldn’t carry on as it was.

The division was killing the Alliance. More and more were transferring to Horde each expansion. Either Alliance were going to face near extinction or they could do something about it.

So now we have mixed guilds, can raid together, do mythic plus together etc. They just need to go the whole hog and let us do LFR, dungeons etc

Now we kind of have the opposite though…
Should see the state of the faction balance on our server, I think we’re close to 1/10 at this point…

I think you’re mixing up issues now. There is no faction balance on realms. They are usually one or the other.

When you had more Horde players overall and Alliance guilds having to fold left right and centre because the playerbase was all migrating to Horde, it was a problem.

You’re also on AD which is an anomaly in itself.

TWW is going one step further where realm will no longer matter and you can join guilds regardless.

However Silvermoon didn’t stop being an Alliance realm just because I started having all my Ally chars on Draenor. I will probably slowly phase them out. But Draenor probably has a lot more Alliance characters on it now than it did before they changed guilds to being cross faction.

hmm, doub’t we’ll ever see official numbers, but according to wowcenus/analytica, it’s 75% Alliance here and 25% Horde.
And yes, these are biased views, but just by playing and doing the events ingame, it’s overwhelming as Horde Player to only see Alliance eveywhere.

Who said “World of Warcraft” means Alliance vs Horde?
Its actually Alliance+Horde vs the World (mobs, elites, bosses… NPCs ingame).
All the real players vs the demons. Isnt this war?
