The GDKP army is here

What a wonderful time for Classic, the current quality of life changes are great.
I started playing in vanilla myself and can only be happy about the GDKP ban, let the focus be on the social aspect of the game and guilds. Overall this makes the experience a lot more enjoyable and gives the server the longevity it needs.

I also notice, all treads currently created around GDKP just end up in toxicity, slurs calling and hostility from the people that want GDKP, so another great win. If you run these communities, stay on era. The constant SoD comparisons, as if GDKP are the solution the everything, glancing over the other issues SoD had, it’s so so misused.

Overall really looking forward to the 21st, see you all there

You do you mate, I’m sticking to era. The problem never was GDKP, it’s the RMT that’s the real problem. If Blizzard would crack down harder on that, they wouldn’t have to enforce a ban on the consequences.

Which partially exists because of GDKP.
You don’t know the gold source from GDKP players but your are still raiding with them.

That being said, players are partially responsible for the market and existence of bots.
The problem is complicity even if it’s unintentional.

Hilarious argument. No one says GDKP was the entire problem, but they are saying it exacerbated it.

Anti-gdkp players are for the most part bad at the game and don’t get to join gdkps in the first place.

How many % of the raids happening in Era servers are GDKP and how many are for those who want to do the things the old way?

Genuinely curious. If the % of GDKP raids overshadow the old ways, I think there’s a problem…

I love to see how the GDKP nerds are going crazy

Tip for you: buy yourself a life, not gold

talking about skill in Wow wtf…

Pugs are almost entirely gdkp, but there are guild who aren’t i literally know a large guild who are using DKP as lootrule.

I buyed gold only like 2 times, also i’m already alive no need “to buy a life” :joy:

How can you oppose RMT whilst simultaneously support gdkp? Seems really contradictory. There would be barely any gdkp at all if there was no people buying gold or botting?

It’s easier to enter a GDKP run if you suck than any other loot-system based raid though.
GDKP specifically look for bad/ungeared players with a lot of money to spend.

So you admit you support botting? Great guy …

It’s just a strawman argument, to focus the attention on something else.

yes 2 times over 8 months. Imagine how often sod dads are buying gold for consumes and boe’s

You get deducted for not doing your assignments or major mistakes, even as a buyer

Alright, that was always allowed! Hope you have a great time on Era, as I hope people who play Fresh have a great time there. And those that play TWW are also enjoying ourselves. Everybody’s happy.

Not needed. Sod economy is still pretty good and you can gain gold easier by different activitys than era.

correct me if im wrong but isnt it still ok to make a guild where inside that guilds raids gdkp are a thing. So just make gdkp mega guild and keep doing it. Just dont advertise it publicly.

I had a very fun time in SoD doing guildraids (obviously without GDKP) but as soon as our playerbase in the guild went down around the start of P3 we had to disband the guild. After this I was trying to get some nice pugs once in a while, but everyone was asking for parses of 70+ which made it only possible to raid on my main (with average of 99.6 just to proof a point im not a total noob) but made it very hard to find pugs on my lesser geared characters. As a mage you could never parse good when you freshly dinged.

So after trying pugs for 2 weeks I felt so incredibly frustrated with the community and the game, I quit sod. Now… IF there were GDKP’s I could’ve just used some of my main’s gold to get my mage some gear in a GDKP and still enjoy the raids there. Then make some gold on the mage (in the GDKP’s) and spend it again on another character.

This is why I totally miss GDKP’s and feel sad for them banning it. GDKPs are WAY MORE alt-friendly than the current community blocking people based on gearscore or parses. The community is so toxic right now because of logs, I truly miss GDKP’s where your parses didn’t matter as long as you had gold.

And true… the downside is the botting and people buying gold. I TOTALLY agree on that. But now we are here blaming the actual GDKP idea which is a very good idea in itself, when blizzard itself is just failing at banning/removing bots. If blizzard had a better anti-botting policy we’d be able to run GDKP’s without ‘dirty money’.

But in the end I rather run GDKP’s with ‘dirty money’ than to beg for raidspots while people are going through my alt’s parses/gearscore. It’s just way too time consuming to stand in orgrimmar/stormwind for hours begging for a group. It’s like the actual issue in real life where you can’t find a job without experience, but can’t get experience without a job.

Alright. Those were my 2 cents… Now you can go continue flaming each other. I think I made a very solid point here and dare to prove me wrong.

I gotta correct you there. Sadly that’s not allowed. If blizzard sees you’re trading gold amounts to people you grouped with they will monitor it and if it looks like trading for loot you get banned. Even if it’s within your guild, or even if it’s trading (let’s say) arcane crystals for loot or anything else.
