The menu bar is too small and can’t be resized or moved.
The talent tree icons are so small that I can’t make out the images.
Text font size is too small and can’t be resized.
I play on a laptop with a smaller screen compared to those high-end desktop monitors, but that never stoped me from being able to read clearly the text in World of Warcraft. I was always able to see the icon images clearly. Even with my poor eyesight.
what bugs me most is that if you got a bar benath a bag and u try to move stuff around in the bag the bar will come up and you can only move stuff to the bar and not your bag
I personally have the UI scaling set to its maximum size in order to allow me to read the quest text and that brings with it its own problems.
The maximum size I can set the UI scaling to in the graphics settings is 114% which I need to use in order to be able to read the quest text within the game.
When setting the new UI scaling (not through the graphics settings but by right clicking my portrait and clicking edit) etc the following are an issue with the UI scale set to its maximum size.
The mini map takes up a huge portion of the right hand side of the screen and there is no way to scale it as far as I can see. I have been forced to move it to the other side in order to try and make everything fit in which seems so alien. It had to be done as it was the only possible way to make the quest tracking window fit anywhere within the UI.
If I had left the mini map where it was the quest tracking window would not have fit under the mini map. Even with the quest tracking set to its lowest possible size it would have fallen off the bottom of the screen and also behind the buttons at the bottom for settings, guild etc.
If I placed the quest tracking window on the left hand side of the screen then even with that window set to its minimum size it was too big. It drops below the chat window and due to the settings that I need for the chat window made some quest tracking invisible.
For me to be able to read the chat text I have to set the font to its maximum size and also have to set the background color to a fairly dark color in order to be able to read the text as a result of my eyesight.
I also found that if I left the layout in its conventual format that the action bars were a real pain for me to work with even with the UI set to its maximum in the settings. This is because I needed to reduce them to their lowest possible level just so they could fit into the needed space.
All of this could have been avoided if they had simply allowed a way to enlarge the size of the quest text for people like me. Without having that ability I have had to place my UI all over the place and the UI now takes up so much screen real estate that there is hardly anything left for viewing the game world which then causes its own issues with missing visual quest for things like avoiding AOE and the like.
If they had allowed a way to enlarge the quest text then people like me could have left the UI in the game settings at 100% rather than having to increase it to 114% which then has caused a complete mess when it comes to a UI as it is now all over the place.
Hello, I personally don’t have those issues, but my friend has the same readability / clarity issues concerning the talent window. Blizzard needs to take those feedback into account, because headaches resulting of this situation will make a lot of people to stop playing.
The new UI made me log out of the game after 5 mins looking at it and not liking it at all. I had the Classic UI addon before, because the changes in BFA also looked terrible to me. Now that addon isnt working and I have to look a this mess. Honestly it killed any desire I had to play retail. A score from 0-10 gives it a 0 for me. There is not a single thing about it I like, and before an addon is made to make it look classic, I’m just staying logged out. It’s terrible. Just terrible Happy I didnt Pre-purchase anything. I have learned that much over the years. So thats a positive thing
My husband is vision impared and have highes ui settings too…
Not being able to size bags and the shortcut icons is a big deal for him… He cant see them
and the other ui things which cant be scaled in size takes up WAY WAY too much space.
Either make an option for WAY WAY bigger quest text for the vision impared or allow us to shrink everything else
Why do people leave these kind of comments when they have no clue what they are talking a bout.
If you had bothered to read the thread (just 6 comments below the one you are responding to) you would have seen that I personally have my UI set to its maximum size on the graphics options and these new changes cause all sorts of issues for people in my position.
I do so wish that people like yourself would not try to devalue the opinions of other people simply because you could not be bothered to read the thread before you leave the kind of comment you do.
