The pay to win boost must go

I thought that I made peace it seems not.

but why remove this feature just so YOU dont need to be ganked

  1. because it doesn’t belong in the game, and wasn’t a feature in the original and this is suppose to be a recreation of the original.
  2. because it assists bots more than anyone else (this alone should be reason enough to not even consider implementing it)
  3. because im not the only person who will get ganked by these types of players. in case you haven’t noticed, griefing is pretty mainstream these days, and people might make rogues and boost them to lvl 58 for the sole reason of ganking lowbies.
  4. i never actually said it should be removed just for me i used myself as an example of how it impacts players (like myself, and you for that matter) in a negative way.

i gave a simple solution and all you want to do is continue to argue. just agree with the no boost servers and boost servers solution

i must have missed that.
what was that solution again?

have servers with the boost and servers without the boost

No, because this is against the ToS and should lead to a ban. The boost is not agains the ToS. Big difference. There’s always someone managing to break a law and get away with it, but that doesn’t mean we should make that more accessbile to a broader audience.

Again, this goes into the arguments of “this is already happening in-game anyway so we might as well allow it officially”. It’s a defeatist attitude. Instead, Blizzard should be pressured to fix the dungeon boosting problem and up their bans of gold buyers and bots. Up their enforcement instead of giving up and allowing.

yeah but that’s not the plan blizzard is presenting, is it?..
they are going to make boosts available for every server in the game.
but hey, i’ll take your idea over the boost-on-every-server idea they are putting forth.

but again, that’s not going to happen because that means less money.

Peace has been restored

Boost won’t change that nothing stops a naxx geared rogue from ganking you indefinitely there are already a ton of players with geared level 60s going into to tbc that arguement can only be made if it was a fresh server where nobody was maxed someone purchasing the boost will be leveling as their starter gear will be terrible for PvP also PvP happened in a PvP server.

right, but it will happen a lot more when people have access to boosts, as oppose to if they don’t. correct?

I don’t think people appreciate just how amazingly entertaining buying a service from a cash shop is.

The anticipation, waiting for the screen to load. Seeing it finally manifest, ready for you to input your details. All the bright colours, the shiny buttons to click, the gleaming, pristine white text fields with their enticing, blinking cusor.

The actual process of inputting your bank details, the long card number with it’s myriad digits, the expiry date, three-digit security number on the back.

And then comes the raw, visceral thrill of clicking that PURCHASE button. The knee-trembling uncertainty… will my details be accepted? Did I get the card number right?

And then, finally, the aftermath, the slow, gradual winding down, that almost post-coital spiral into sleepy satisfaction, you are spent; your cash has been deducted from your account. That final click away from the screen and it’s over, until the excitement of the next purchase can begin again.

When it comes to entertainment, there’s little to compare.

You could be in the same guild as me on your level 46, which is going to be your new main for TBC. When I reach level 70 from my boosted character along with the rest of the guild we have to wait for to catch up before we can raid.

You can literally make up any scenario you like to fit whatever agenda you like.

Yes, its better to not have lvl boost cos others will blame one who is leveling his char normaly.

Then classic is not for you retail child - stop trying to crowbar it into a retail shape to fit your retail shaped hole.

literal gatekeeping right there

mhmm no, alright?

I don’t think people appreciate just how amazingly entertaining auto attacking mobs for a week straight is.
Or sitting afk in a dungeon paying some random dude.

Yes, auto attacking raid bosses is so much more fun. Frostbolt, frostbolt, frostbolt.

It seems like there are people forcing themselves to play this game that would’ve enjoyed Shadowlands much more. Much better dungeons and raids, more mechanics and more interesting classes with rotations, and not nearly as grindy either!

Yeah, I have no idea why people do this (other than leveling up faster) because it’s boring AF. I just level up in the world with other people… except that won’t last long because soon they can just buy the 58 boost and they’d be stupid not to as it’s a no brainer.

Not with evidence you haven’t you’ve spoken about what you feel, and how it might impact it. I saw no charts, data or evidence.

So you want the boost to launch, impact existing realms to just then have the “data”? And what then? damage already have been done and monetization won’t move back, just forward.

the charts, data and evidence can be found by looking at retail wow.
it has happened before, it will happen again, unless the community works together to stop it.
but selfish casuals who “dont have time to level” aren’t really helping to prevent it.
