I’m borderline considering harassing you for how stupid that was.
There were several discussions had on these forums about “close minded people” like myself that didn’t want to play with people that used OBR. One of the suggestions was mark the people that use OBR so we see them in group finder, the response by the pro-OBR crowd was “No we do not want to get harassed for using OBR”. That is what this comment is referring to. No I do not harass people that use OBR nor do I want them to be harassed but I do not want to play with them either.
It is in fact our business. WoW is a game that can easily be brute forced to stupid levels. You sure as hell can brute force your way to the highest ilvl in the game which makes you brute force even more. And with a tool that removes a huge chunk of your ability to make mistakes said brute forcing gets through the roof. So where am I going with this. Well since you were brute forcing your way top the top you suddenly hit a way which you can no longer brute force, during that whole brute forcing you forgot to pay attention to what was happening around you and you have next to no idea what to do instead of brute forcing. Do you see the issue or should I make it more simple?
Real talk now — why do people even need this WeakAura in the first place?
The ones advocating for it seem convinced that using OBR makes you a “bad player” to the point of being detrimental to the group.
If that’s truly the case, why do you need a WeakAura to tell you? Surely it should be self-evident and obvious… If your not able to notice the apparent “poor performance” and need a addon to point it out to you, is it really that bad?

I have no idea how the WA works. If it starts working after the run has started and it just tells me that you are using OBR its useless to me and pretty much anyone else. If it works like this, I am assuming that it is meant as a means to bully people out using OBR (which I support to an extend, people should not be using OBR and instead learn their class).
If it detects that you are an OBR user on sign ups or when you enter the group but before the run starts, it indicates that that person is a potential red flag,

Would you not agree, if classes were better made and not needing say for 20 actions for an opener on some specs there would not be a need to have something like this, i know it helps people who have disabilities but some use it as specs are trash.
I just do not want people being picked on as long as they are doing good dps and mechanics i can not see an issue at all.

No I don’t agree, because I fail to see which are these very hard specs (aside from a very small handful) that demand an automated tool to do your rotation for you. And even so the obvious answer is to rework those specs and bring them more in line and not creating a more flashy version of vanilla frost mage.
I said to an extend. The extend being the bullying part. I would like for people to learn their classes, I wouldn’t like for people to get bullied. And I didn’t say anything about people with disabilities there did I, you just inserted that all by yourself.
The wow community is definitely not toxic. Most of the players are mature. Not sure where you got that from
So how would you help people with disabilities then?
