The thing is, the biggest BS is that none of use can even test the changes currently.
If they had a public PTR with just a solo-instance for characters to test talents and class changes alone, a lot of us could actually test and give proper feedback.
But as of now? Those changes all are a double-edged Damocles blade above our heads and we don’t know if they will be good or bad. We can only assume. AND THAT SUCKS!
I get what they are trying to do, but for pvp, this will imbalance stuff greatly. Imagine playing against any wizard cleave without the possibility of a third interrupt.. and even if they give it back as a pvp talent (which will 100% come), its just a flat nerf to all healers that depend on it (shaman, pres, monk comes to mind).
What does this even mean lol. The sword of Damocles is a story about the burden of responsibility. It was a punishment for his envy, to show him with power comes responsibility and danger.
What is a double bladed Damocles blade? xD
Yeah it’s like Sisyphus but with two boulders innit. Lmao
I meant it in a reference towards Blizzard and their design decisions. They have obviously the power to change the game but their responsibility to make a good game is a burden they often end up in recent years to swing either way.
Hence the comparison.
Blizzard is the blade, WoW is the guy sitting beneath it, we are the court audience watching.
Holy so funny reading people how they panic because blizzard is removing kicks from healers, quite happy about it and also happy weakauras are gone and combat addons.
Source: I play priest, the healer without kick. People frequently die to being casted on several times when they have their interrupts ready. I died to being casted on without people interrupting in an arakara run.
Once again “they have a vision” and they will go trough twith that, trough fire and flames, ignoring player feedback which begs the question why do they even other with a PTR at the first place.
I don’t mind healers being more focused on healing tho.
And it didn’t occur to you to try something more difficult? Like a +15? Why were you in a +10? To help your friends? Or to open the weekly quest chest?
You brag so much about how good you are compared to others, and I read you saying “I was in a +10.” Bro, you’re disappointing me like this…
You got something wrong here. Cause DPS are just as “moronic” as the healer himself. A 2000 rio healer is just as “bad” or “good” as a 2000 rio DPS.
Basically, if the DDs forget to kick. So will the healer. But that is not what the healer kick is used for.
In any given pack, you have 2 types of things to look at:
The “Venom Volley” that needs to be kicked or else you wipe.
The “Venom Bolts” that are constantly being spammed.
In 99% of the keys I have done, across all levels. DDs do their job perfectly fine in the 1st case. The Venom Volley is kicked for sure. HOWEVER. Because its a PuG environment, you got maybe 3 DDs that use their kick for that.
However. Now, for 15s the guy casting “Venom Bolts” sits there machine-gunning the party.
What does the healer kick do in that case? Well you can see who is being targeted by said “Venom Bolt”. The 20% HP guy that will get 1-shot combo-wombod if he gets hit. Or the 100% guy that wont die if he gets hit.
If it’s the 20% guy. You kick that dude. THAT is how you use the healer kick.
So. If healers dont have access to a kick, the DDs have to watch out party frames and see who is being targeted by what. And kick that accordingly. There is ZERO chance that will happen because it’s contrary to their gameplay.
To play with friends. That’s what I was doing.
But that’s not the point. The point is that healers in those levels complaing about “how hard it is to heal” and whatnot should also take in mind that there is plenty of room to L2P and be more humble about it.
Instead of asking blizzard to dumb down the game to their level. They should simply accept their own capabilities. Which, by the way, also applies to me. It applies to EVERYONE.
Dont get me started on healers in the +15 / +16 bracket. War criminals. Holding cds instead of just using them. I can give multiple examples how bad healers are.
Doesnt change the fact that there are genuinely good healers out there. Some manage to use LoH every global and you are never in danger.
Its always funny when the average player bashes dps players, but lord have mercy when a dps calls out healers and tanks. All of a sudden you are the Anti-Christ.
Imo a good solution would be that the mobs cast the Venom Volley more frequently (not spamming) and remove the Spambolts entirely.
Something like “this pack has 2 Volley casters, we have 3 dps and 1 tank to ensure not a single Volley will get through”. Maintenance kicks are just a lazy mechanic, unfun and punishes the healer and dps.
old formular of what? wow classic? where tanks had to do as much dmg as possible to have the aggro at all?
literal the peak of being uninformed
yeah in the past was everything better, even if it wasnt
to the topic: yep its stupid to prune everyone this hard
